Pablo Kuntz of Unique Japan walks through this delightful sword that was sold in Japanese Sword Catalogue 36. Visit the catalogue here: new.uniquejapan.com/currently...
Just gotta say that, while I found you through Let's Talk Resident Evil, I genuinely enjoy seeing even your historic videos with you and your possessions and stories! It's very awesome to see you putting up these little things that mean so much to you, because it feels like we're really getting to know you! I hope you and your son are doing well!!
Jill Valentine's voice actor is apparently someone else, the voice director may or may not remember her at all. Barry said it's not the first time she's doing a voice over.
Hey pablo was this sword school the same as tanba fujiwara no kami Terukado who also worked in the same period ? And second question from someone who is in the UK. Is it best to leave swords in shirasaya? Even if I have koshiare
@@PabloKuntz what I mean of reacting to the videos. is just watching them and what you think of the other Wesker voices and your opinion on how far wesker’s characters has evolved throughout the resident evil franchise so you don’t have to re-enact the scenes just watch it if that makes sense Keep up the great work Pablo
I'm curious to know, do you experience any difficulties with sourcing & importing these items, being as they are both legit useable weapons & museum pieces? It can't be as straightforward as the other artisan crafts after all. Is it considered similar to antiques dealing?
We source the swords primarily in Japan through a network of contacts - it is always a challenge to find special and unique pieces to offer clients, but we do our best. Importing into the UK is fairly straightforward if the object is over 100 years and forged by traditional methods, then it is treated as an antique object of art (HS Code 9706.00). If the sword was mass-made with no artistic merit then it is only a weapon and would face much greater scrutiny at customs, and rightfully so.
@@PabloKuntz ah right, I understand now. It's viewed as antique art, if you like, a decor item, so it falls under specific regulations. Thanks for taking the time to answer, sorry to sound nosey, I was just interested in how it works! Love your content, keep it up! 👍
Amazing wakizashi! 😲 I am a practitioner of the sword fighting within the Bujinkan, but can't afford a real wakizashi or a katana for my practice...its so expensive 😟 If only you could give me as a present one of your least favorite swords Pablo 🙏
Omg..that would be an incredible honor and pleasure Pablo!! 🙇♂️ I'm based in the Nederlands. Am already mega thankful and joyfull you've replied my message with such a great spirit of generosity 🙌 For some reason my message wudnt be placed before, maybe because i was trying to send here my email address. I have already sent you an email to uniquejapan more than a week ago but it hasnt been answered yet. And ofcourse all the best wishes to you and your dear and loved ones in the New 2022 year, and many future coming years as well ! 🎄✨🥂
May i ask how much this cost, the website says 3 million Japanese Yen, which is like $20,000 dollars, is this right? I am just looking on the website these are unbelievable looking swords, like actual masterpieces.
It's a shame that some collectors don't rate Bungo swords, and refer to the makers as country smiths. I think Bungo swords are beautiful and on a par with Hizen blades.
