I remember when I played the wcw world tour game. Me and my friends have no fkn clue about why the game had two different Stings xD

WCW had so many missed storylines. Could have been so much better.

Didn't the wwe use the fake stings image instead of the real stings image in the back cover of the wwe DVD documentary of sting? I didn't know about this until osw pointed it out in one of their videos. Either way I still lived the angle just wish the two stings wrestled each other once

Just to confirm the other posters' comments about the Sting/Stink tag match, it was Monday Nitro's Main Event on 5/25/98. Sting and Luger vs. Stink and Big Show, with Sting actually pinning the imposter after a splash and SDD. The funny thing about the "angle" was that the announcers were acting like Farmer was some "new nWo sting" during the whole thing (which began the prior week on Thunder, with "Sting" attacking Luger), despite anybody who'd ever watched an episode of the MNW being able to identify the guy's lantern jaw and sus hairline from the nosebleed seats.

I was all about WWF back in the day and never understood the Sting drama. I do now!!!

Actually, Sting did wrestle NWO Sting! It was a tag team match! His partner was the Big Show and Sting and NWO Sting did go face to face during that match....

they should have had a match at starrcade 96, i loved the idea of a fake sting i love anomalies like this in wrestling, i loved the fake undertaker, but its a bummer that there wasn't a a match where sting squashed nwo sting.

Lmao, I remember this, well. At first, I had no idea who this fake Sting really was, until I learned that he was really Jeff Farmer, aka Cobra, who prior to this had only feuded with Sgt. Craig Pitbull Pittman, & lost to him in record time, at Fall Brawl '95, lol!

I never wanted to see fake Sting face Sting because after the first time he was such a joke I always thought that was the point. He wasn't worth Stinf time to have a shitty Undertaker vs Undertaker rip off match I don't think a Sting vs Sting match would have done anything interesting. I do agree that no one bought Sting merch thinking it was fake Sting and Wolfpac Sting. But I definitely thought it was fine after War Games. No point in pretending fake Sting was real when no one bought it so just make him the butt of the joke or Sting's attacks
