There are stories in the Missing 411 books… that tell about a few ppl who were LURED into the forest while hiking or camping. The friends said that this person just stared into the sunset & just walked into the forest, in a daze, in a trance, non responsive to their calls, never to be seen again. Another tells of someone who was in a trance for days yet it only seemed like a couple hours… they spoke of a cabin & a family that they saw & spent time at… yet when they snapped out of their trance, they ran home. When this person took his friends to where this cabin was, nothing was there. He was gone days. But he swears he was only gone a couple of hours. He was not starving or dirty or anything. How is this possible. I think perhaps… the legends of Pan are true. The Greek god pan. He lures ppl into the forest. Disguises his true hideous terrifying form, into something beautiful or trusting. His flute I think is a tool he uses to put them in a trance. Sound frequency. Spells. What is also terrifying is that he connects with the stories of Peter Pan & the pied piper. Both use this flute to lure ppl to their death in trance. Peter Pans story connects w mermaids - sirens - who also use their voices - songs - sound frequency - to LURE men to their death. They are said to be hideous, yet when men see them, they appear gorgeous. Temptation. This shit runs deep.
I enjoyed your story. There is a similar story in some Native American tribes known as the Deer Woman or Deer Lady. She kills wicked men that harm women and children.
Thank you! It’s a great carribean folktale that I always enjoyed. I actually almost did the Deer Lady first instead of this video! I love that story, I’ll have to do it next. I think it figure videos I will discuss the different variations of the story as well as the implications and messages of the talk. Thank you for watching and commenting!
