Our Journey! How did we get here?
In the winter of 2019 we moved in to our self built van full time to begin living, working and travelling Canada. We quickly fell in love with chasing our dreams of adventuring off the beaten path, living off grid and being self sustaining. We drove our van thousands of miles through various countries-Canada, USA, Mexico & Guatemala. All of which we documented here on our channel, be sure to check that out! After many years on the open road we found ourselves 15 acres of remote woods on the East Coast of Canada where we are building a homestead and renovating our fully off the grid cabin. We are diving into this chapter of our lives in no experience, we're so happy we can bring you all along as we learn to do it all with our own two hands. Yes!!! I'm up and out getting supplies this sunday. It's time to fall clean for prep of winter. I'm in high desert and sometimes we get snow and it gets cold. I'm in mountains. I love you galls! When I was younger I could do what you are doing, now I just watch and remember what I did in my past life and wish I could still be doing it. I love the pups, we just lost one of our sweet babies a week ago all of the sudden, she was only 2.5. We have been devastated but watching ya’ll and a few others helps with the distraction for a while, so thank you.

The water shut off valve that you used in the green house is only "frost free" when installed horizontally (so the water can drain out). You need to install a "yard hydrant". Its installed vertical and the water in the pipe will drain off when shut off. LOVE your videos. Sincerely, Richard Goodman

For your winch, it looked like you guys used the button to get the cable out, I could be wrong. Typically there's either a switch down on the spool that you turn to go into free spool mode where you can easily pull the cable out vs slowly undoing it with the motor. Just make sure to re engage to pull the cable back. I learned this after getting my atv stuck in a deep mud hole and letting the cable out slowly 😂 you live and you learn

Not sure if you girls are planning on tiling directly over top of the red guard on the plywood but please keep in mind that the red guard will not properly seal, all the joints and corners without caulking and mesh tape and then red guard over top of all that. White quad max caulk is the best for that.
