As A self employed farm mechanic in Manitoba, Canada I don't miss the customers that retired who had cattle and 1 tractor newer but just as bad as this one for issues. This type of stuff when it's - 30 or at spring thaw in a feed lot really isn't fun. This was so painful to watch it's like 3 monkeys (insert animal noise here) a football, and they haven't realized the ball left an hour ago L.O.L. My dad still farms and believes he hasn't done a days work until he's had to inflate 3 tires, and fix something else before he starts the job, and he gets mad if I want to spend the money and time to fix it . After 3 years blowing up tires and fitting used junk when the walls came out on the swather I did get him to buy $700 of new front tires and tubes. He wouldn't talk to me the next day after commenting "isn't it nice not having to haul the compressor out to that machine every day at harvest, or jack it up on blocks to stop tires going flat over winter !". stick the tube in the cow tank. easy to find holes. my friend was pounding on a bearing like that once i screamed at him SAFETY GLASSES!!! he said i have my regular ones on..................well 3 more wacks and a chip come off and went into his eye NOW he wears safety glasses minus 1 eye.

Yeah, those bearings can sling chunks I know that for a fact. I had one fly off and hit my hand right in a vein and I started gushing blood one time.

That normally would have been a Kalsem Level 6, but due to the amount of "material" packed into the bead, and the tube being too far gone, I think we can safely push it up to a K7.

Like you, I just can't understand it. You would think that if you ran the tractor fast enough for long enough, the air in the flat tire would have heated up and re-inflated the tire. Surprised that didn't work. Sometimes things just don't add up.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

😂😂😂. When I have one of those hubs off, I drill a hole in the flat spot on the back side and tap it for a grease zerk so can add some grease once in awhile.

I just repacked the ones on the 1750 of my uncles. I believe they were factory replaced the seals repacked bearings . She almost back together . From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful

I had a barn yard sounds moment today while trying to get a new track on the mini excavator and my wife walked up and I didn’t realize. She was really impressed. It’s not on by the way. There will be more sounds.

Enjoying the watch Ross. Looks like your seal is pretty toasted, to say nothing of the bearing! Anticipating with bated breath the re-assembly! Also, would you know the maintenance thinking with the plug in the hub. Don't see how pumping grease through that keeps the bearings fully packed.

I’m guessing that they thought maybe you would squeeze some grease in there and eventually it would make it to the bearing? Maybe use a heavy oil? I’ve just always put grease zerks in and went to town on them. The reassembly part is waiting in the wings so hopefully soon it will be released

@@rosstheoliverman Looking forward to that reassembly, as it will be my guide. On that grease port in the hub, I'd love to get an explanation from a lubrication expert. It seems to me the only way you move new grease to the bearings is just go to town pumping it in there ....basically packing the hub void and moving grease through displacement. If that's the case, the operator's manual should tell you to do that. A few squirts wouldn't do much.
