Should have been all bosses, and there needed to be actual minibosses in the game. I swear the makers of RCR Girls thought they were making a new Streets of Rage, because it doesn't feel like River City at all.
This song was a huge part of my childhood. I heard the remix in River City Girls 2 and INSTANTLY searched for this video. Hearing this again made me giddy beyond belief.
"The rumors were true. You're one tough dude. Thor's in Sherman Park." Edit: After all these years I don’t know why I remembered the quote this way. Thor is not in Sherman Park but in the back of the factory. Maybe it was something I remembered reading in Nintendo Power and my memory was wrong.
I don't know I mean I don't like it. I mean really like it! It's good as far fighting games in its own right. But others like MegaMan 1 yellow devil, MegaMan 2, and ninja garden 2
Sir... I like this song too... but I suggest to listen to "Wacky Races - Boss 2" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-86ZqDyQyP6E.html I'm pretty sure it will go in your favorites... Have a nice day Sr.!
I've been DYING to know the source of the first boss theme from Abobo's Big Adventure. At last, my quest ends and I get to pay River City Ransom it's respects.
Definitely play it sometime too. The NES version is pretty Americanized in the localisation in terms of names and outfits and such but the GBA remake is pretty faithful to the original in that regard aside from names. Also just a heads up, the American version, RCR, is technically an alternate universe to Downtown Nekketsu, the original Japanese release, though it gets a little confusing at times.
@@Rad-Dude63andathird Any "legit copies" for NES with GBA's faithfulness? And, wow. Do RCR and DN have branching games too, or is RCR the only alt in the franchise?
Initially i thought.....penisless gamer!?! But before i even finished reading gamer aloud i realized my error.. but my chick came in the room immediately and asked me what is the "penisless game?" ....true story
A similar theme from *River City Girls* can be heard when _Kyoko_ or _Misako_ (player’s choice) are fighting a boss named, Abodo! After I completed River City Girls I heard so much good things about *River City Ransom* that I tried it with my Nintendo Switch Online membership and I love it so far!
Am I the only one that constantly hears the coins bouncing sound whenever they hear River City Ransom music? I remember farming the twins for cash to buy stone hands and dragon feet and javelin man. lol the list goes on.
i never knew the name of this game. but i played it ages ago as a 9 (or older)year old. not exactly a emulator but i remember having an app on the good ol windows xp that haves shitton on nes games. when opening it it goes to a blue screen and you gotta scroll through and pick a game. i would pick randomly and this game was AMAZING me that i memorized where it was tho i couldn't read. river city girls is great. got elements from rcr and that snes beat em up (which is my personal greatest beat em up of all time)
@SBluvr99 also in the books there is a fight on the rooftops which references the final battle in this game, one of the bands in it is called crash and the boys which is a game (I think it's made by the same people) and the games are both beat em ups. I don't think all theses things are coincidence
Me and my older brother pulled out the nes a few years ago and played it straight through. The game is way way ahead of its time. Im talking about creating unique combos on the fly.
Am I the only one that notices like a frame skip at 0:30? It sounds like it could have been timed better, but funny thing is they kept that weirdness to it in the ex version of this song.
Quick reminder that this is from the oldest active fighting videogame saga, and probably the oldest fighting videogame saga (though I haven't found enough info to prove the second claim) Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun, aka Renegade for the poor Westerns that faced all the damn renaming this saga received on it's way to the West, was released in May of 1986. For comparison Street Fighter: August 1987. Mortal Kombat: October 1992. The King of Fighters: August 1994.
Having Alex/Ryan as like, either echo fighters or alternate costumes of each other would be kickass (moreso if they can get their Kunio Kun designs in as well), but I'd kill for Billy and Jimmy too, especially if they're designed like they were in Neon.
@@Rad-Dude63andathird I feel like If Kunio got in with Riki as an echo fighter Jimmy and Billy could get in as mii fighters or spirts, or perhaps the other way around. Either way it would be pretty cool
First I'm gonna beat'cha With a freakin' trash can! You'll turn into A coin, I'll spend you like cash man, I'm gonna read a book to, learn to kick you three times (in a row) Skoobididy bloopidy bloopidy -BrentalFloss
