I have fond memories of my older brother playing this and asking me if I want to play baseball in the game. I remember thinking.....what??! you can play baseball. Then, we ran to the park and he picked up the rock and had me pick up the stick and he proceeded to throw it at me and I would hit it then run to 1st base while he ran and picked it up and chased me with it lol. So stupid, but it was hilarious to two people with imagination.
Dude my brother and I did the SAME EXACT THING! We came up with all of these improvised PvP battle modes within the game and played the absolute shit out of them. Glad we weren't the only ones, I have super amazing memories of this game.
Funny how in games like these there was much freedom (for that time) that you always ultimately end up fighting your teammate and just fuckin around rather than doing the main storyline lmfao.
Moose: BIFF!! Biff: BARF! Random henchmen: Is this fun yet? That guy's a freak! Mama....!! This game made Biff a relevant name. Biff ate the Coffee. Biff drank the Takeout.
Damn this brought it back for me. Back in the day me and my cousin thought the chain was a stronger weapon bc it looked like a belt. We called it “ la correa” lmao
It takes some great elements from two genres and forges them together into one of the most easily playable games of all time. It is a classic that has stood the test of time.
@@PamIsley314 dudes....Technos made the best games back in the day, the series still lives on strong, but not many know of it, only those brave enough to search are granted nearly full access to it.
@@dr.toxicgamingmadscientist Yeah when I was young, I'm not sure how aware of it I was, but I definitely knew there was a connection with RCR and Super Dodgeball. I even started to make the connection to double dragon, even though it wasn't one of my favorites. I played Combat Tribes long ago, but didn't know they were technos till literally 2 mins ago. I started to learn about all these other technos games as I got a little older and emulation came out. Ridiculously amazing company.
Anyone notice how as time goes on, highschool kids look younger and younger? The dudes on the cover of this game are all supposed to be in high school... lol
@@Devn___ Yeah, and I like the way they play that game too. They even have those 8-bit sound effects in their movesets. I think it's the closest thing to seeing how they would be in a party fighter like Smash in the meantime.
I dont care about what technology they got today these games were the best and we all got a good laugh playing them. These kids are missing out on the good times
i remember when i was younger i played this and years later i forgot it's name and look so far and wide for it...like REAAALLY searched all i can and eventually i found my childhood game (cuz of how iconic the sprites are, i recognized them)
Something interesting I noticed: River City Ransom Retro City Rampage RCR. Twice. Both 8-bit games. Both about fighting and contain greasers. Coincidence? I think not.
Best bet for money early...stayoutside the mall and clean up on coins , then buy coffees till you stamina and hp level up... also get willpower because it rules the getting up statistic...
Hows that cheap ? Its cruel and tells a story. Its like mario constantly running in the wrong castle like a dick head he is. Video game heroes arent really the smartest around, but they get the job done (eventually, somehow, with enough continues).
