I really loved the vampires from original ixalan. Them being the conquistadors is such nice alternate fantasy history and very fitting. Also the whole not drinking blood except from sinners deal was pretty funny.

Definitely looking forward to your story summary for this set. The web story for OG Ixalan is what got me invested in Magic lore in the first place, so it feels full circle to be coming back.

I hope we get an update on Ghalta and Mavren’s relationship. I know the lore for their team up was mostly just a convenient happenstance but I would like to think that they found some sort of common ground as beings known for their hunger.

i used to be a dragon player because dinosaurs were so few and under powered before ixalan, now im both dinos and dragons, sun empire all the way. didn't hurt that my dinosaur pre- release deck got me to second place, only lost to one guy that pulled 2 carnage tyrants and all the removal.

Making the conquistadors vampires was a great thematic choice. Because of both the fantasy vibes and the knock on colonizers.

Ixalan is named after its largest island. Mercadia is named after its largest city. Serra's Realm and Ugin's Meditation Realm are named after their founders. Which plane, in your opinion, has the best name? And which one has the least interesting name?

Once I learned "Kaldheim" just meant "cold home" I was kinda disappointed. Even though snow is a major component there, the plane is made up of many individual realms, and snow isn't key to all of them. As far as favorites, I think "Segovia" is fun to say, and "Theros" has a blunt simplicity to it that feels Greek while still sounding magical.

Will Elenda be in this set? After hearing about her, I definitely find her and her vampire faction interesting. I'd definitely join a vampire faction that teaches about peace and compassion. Hope there'll be a story where Elenda's vampire faction will go against Vito's own vampire faction.
