Im looking forward to a review of the 12 volt solar powered air conditioner. I spent several years traveling in a full size camper in the hot southern climate. Some times it was very dry and sometimes it was very humid. The camper had a air conditioner but it needed 110 to operate we did buy a Honda generator to run it but that was one more thing that must be managed. So most of the time we put up with no air conditioning.
@dadbudgetadventures
@dadbudgetadventures 27 дней назад
This one isn’t a 12 v. but it has a battery that can work with my solar generator. We will see how it works out when it’s being used off grid.

I love the teardrop. Space is good for me. I lived in my dodge grand caravan for a while when I could no longer work and before I got disability. Thank God I didn’t have to wait long for it. I wrecked my body as a hospice aide with a bad back and arthritis throughout my spine. It sucked. I LOVED what I did. Anyway, I took advantage of the time in the van camping near creeks, etc. I love being in nature. I think I would love the teardrop. You can set it up with an attachable screen room over the galley, an awning over one side and a “tent “ for privacy on the other side where you could put a camping toilet for those middle of the nighters. Gosh I miss camping. P.S. sorry for the long winded comment. 💁🏻‍♀️

Good morning DBA, Nice tour of your teardrop, thanks for taking us along. I thought about buying a teardrop for weekend camping and traveling from point A to B to visit relatives. But I'm 6'4" tall and 270lbs , and "ole what's her name" (my wife) likes to go camping too, so I think it would be a bit crowded for us. Let us know how those bags work, I may buy some for traveling. Have a fun - safe & blessed 4th of July weekend. JT Barren County, KY

Nice teardrop! I had a tc teardrops 5x9 for several years. Flatter roof allowed a foxwing 270 deg awning. The teardrop was awesome. I did an 8500 mile trip from Philly to NM to NV and up to MT and back. Now I’m doing full time camper life so i needed something bigger. But when i started FT, I lived in the teardrop for 19 weeks. BTW, the SimplyOrange 53 oz juice bottle with its wide mouth and volume is a great pee bottle for 2 AM and it’s pouring down rain outside!

Thank you for the really nice overview tour of your camper. Those are very nice camping trailers. I’m not much for camping but I did a lot of that during my tenor in the Army active duty. But civilian camping is so much nicer LOL. It’s really cool you have your channel posted so folks can go see it. A QDR code would be neat if you do not have one. That maybe a nice addition. The neat thing is there is plenty of storage so you can bring extra things; tents, mosquito netting shelter or just any equipment you need during your adventure in camping. Again I love your content. Thank you for creating these really informative videos.

Very nice rolling mini-home. We have few camping areas in the Philippines but the popularity of camping vehicles and trailers is growing. Your rig would be great in Japan where many folks camp at public spots near rivers and lakes. Road Stations also allow overnight camping many places. You can also rent a parking spot for your camper in the city if you must venture there. We stock a similar emergency use bag to what you showed. We also have silicone "funnels" that allow the ladies to use an empty soda bottle or take a wiz standing up. Beautiful Bride, Beautiful Daughter and Moth-in-law all have these items in their EDC bags. We enjoy a fairly safe area but there are some questionable two legged critters walking around. In no way do I want "my girls" to encounter these certain types in the bushes. Trust me, I know about this. I visited an American two to three times per week who was in the local lockup for seven + months waiting for his case to come up. We brought him fresh salads, fruit, home cooked meals and small items he needed to get by. There were some characters in that place that I truly pray will NEVER get back out on the street. They are a real danger to any human female, especially the younger ones.

Happy for the tour! I've been curious what is inside and if there was truly enough space to spread out. Knowing that you have a twin mattress tucked in there gives me a good idea. The nearly claustrophobic space reminds me of the capsule/pod hotels in Japan (never been, but I watch vids on it). This is more spacious than that! Teardrop camper seems so functional and not a lot of fuss for storage, towing, etc. I had watched this originally on my tv, but wanted to comment from my laptop. I began to search for your channel, and one of the options was Dad Bods. All sorts of Dad this, Dad that, but that one just stuck me as funny. Ok, so I ignored that, and proceeded with Dad Budget Adventures (wait for it.. ). I watched the video and began thinking names.. Ok hear me out.. cracking myself up for this one..How about.. "Dad Pod". 🤣

I used to tow a 20 cubic foot fibreglass trailer with hinged lid behind a Yamaha Virago 1000cc (a Japanese clone of a Harley) here in UK the only real problem I had was trying to reverse it into parking bays, it alwaays turned left, in the end I would put the bike on its stand detach the trailer and walk it back, then wheel the bike to it and reconnect because here a lot of our Motorway Service have rows of parking bays with walkways in between so it has to be back in drive out never had or felt any problems towing just had to remind myselfto steer more when changing lanes instead of just drifting to the side

I also have a Suburban that I'm setting up to camp out of. I like that I can just get in the back to sleep.
