A Tour Of Our Caravan - 2006 Abbey Cardinal 325 

Morning Charlie! We chose a caravan because as a rule, when we go away, we'll generally dig our heels in for a week or longer at a time so a caravan made more sense. Thanks mate 🙂 We're in Frodsham at the moment because like you, we were struggling to find one nearer to here. Ours hasnt got any plots left, but if you Google CASSOA, a list of their registered sites will pop up near to you. Or like we did, go to Google maps in your area and search "caravan storage" an obvious one, but it comes up with places we never knew existed! Best of luck with the hunt!

Thanks for the kind comments folks! Just watched your video link, you're spot on, there's VERY little difference between them. Like yours, and ours, they're both "dealer specials". They both started off life as an Abbey Aventura, then different dealers, in your case Lowdhams caravans, stick there own little slant on them. It could be a different coverings, microwave, handles etc; you get the gist 😀 Our Cardinal is a dealer special from Davan Caravans. Didn't come with a microwave and although we use the microwave at home a lot, can honestly say we havn't missed having one in the van. We've only been caravanning for 18 months, and we bought ours, luckily, or unluckily, 2 days before the first lockdown! So had time to do bits and bobs to it, but must admit, the initial search for a van is a proper headache. Then at last, you find "the one". Look forward to hearing how you get on with it and honestly, I know its a cliche, but just wish we'd have bought one sooner, It's a great lifestyle and give you real freedom. @@ItchyFeetcaravanners thanks guys really appreciate you taking the time to reply, yeh we've discussed the microwave issue and decided it's something we could easy do without plus it's just extra weight, if you don't mind me asking what's probably a stupid question, but in one of your vids you mention a "pigstail" what for all that's holy is that ?? 😂😂 I feel I should know as it could be important lol, thanks again......ps you'll soon be regretting saying if there's anything else just ask 😂😂😂

Not at all folks! It's slang, the pigtail is the short length of gas pipe/coupling hose that connects the gas bottle to the regulator. It's reverse threaded at the gas bottle end too, so the opposite to whats normal if you like 🙂 Not lefty loosy righty tighty! No such thing as a stupid question, trust me, we asked LOADS of things when we started out 😂
