I loved growing up there had some great memories. And sometimes sad ones but miss Stevenage now in my later yrs

A great place to live 25 yrs ago . What happened ?

Good to see the Locarno Ballroom

Stevenage looked really great back then compared to the shit hole it is now but compared to the surrounding towns like Luton it's not all bad! :/

Just brilliant, some really rare images here. 1:48 nice shot of the Locarno, I thought that metallic roof extension was installed with it becoming Mecca Bingo, but obviously not 2:03 The Glebe, glad there's still a bicycle shop there 2:33 Couldn't believe my eyes, I'd never seen an old shot of the shops near my house (next to the Almond Tree) 2:38 Great to see the old cinema get a look in But why not give the video a title that represents it better?

Didnt mind it so much when I was a little'n. By the amount of mod revival shots in there Im guessing around 79-80 when I was about 9 years old. Dreadful place now.

In one of the photos showing the bus station I could see the old HM Land Registry building and Swingate House.
