Dr. Carr is a great man. I still think of him as the young man playing the bongos on his porch and grilling ribs over an old trash can, but here he is all grown and articulate. Keep up the good work my brother.
Wow, I’m glad to hear this lecture from Dr. Carr. I deeply want to be a part of this community and continue to enact meaningful progress for the longevity of our people. Will seek out this resource center as well as the leaders who have spoken here as well. Thank you!! 🙏🏾
Yet We Know Exactly what some Black Celebrities had for Breakfast. You Not Knowing about Our Master Teachers is Strategically by Design. When you know better you do better.

Carter G Woodson was a member of the UNIA founded by Marcus Mosiah Garvey and he wrote for the Negro world Newspaper. Negro History Week was first implemented in Liberty Halls. I believe it was a major injustice to spend so much time talking about WEB who had contradictory ideas rather than his relationship with the Most Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey. It’s not the way you understood what they meant I’m not black. I was born and grew up there.I’m Ethiopian and what I knew was the black peoples are the one coming from other African countries..we never thought that all African are black even if some of us has light skin. I even didn’t know until I came in to ISA , am black because people determine by their nationality not skin color. So when Ethiopian said I am not black,he or she doesn’t mean they don’t like being called black ,that’s what they know and still need to be educated about what it mean skin color and race. I just want everyone to understand why they are saying “I am not black “I don’t know how to explain more but it’s not how you think.
