Great shots and great video! I love the fact that your girl is enjoying it and learning the craft as well, reminds me of me and my Dad back in the day. We only topped her out in a straight line. Love the curves a little bit. Feels great at the helm.
Some of my best memories are me and my daughter on our boat and her driving it. My favorite picture of her of all time is one of her driving it and looking so relaxed and happy doing it.
We have twin inboards on our boat. That shot really shows why running aground is so hard on props and rudders on these boats-- they are the lowest thing and they hit first!
I was freaking out, no way would I be that close to the props with the engines running! But you cheated, you had the camera on a pole! Also the "captain" needs a stool to stand on :)
I am new to boating and just was wandering how close is too close to come to the bottom with your props. It looked like you were a foot or two from the bottom. Thank you
Brendan Stanczyk, the ground is soft and sandy there and if you have no waves, which often is the case, pure flat water, it's not soooo risky. Works out for filming or washing the boat in the water. But I do agree with you, If I stay longer without constant observation, I'm not putting my anchor down in such depth. cheers.
