Conkers camping and Caravan Club Site was a real pleasure, ideal for walkers and cyclist with miles and miles of pathways through the vast forest. We managed to walk 7-8 miles on the Sunday missing the rain. We found a small pub called the Miners Arms and had a couple of Guinness to ease the thirst 😄
Miles of pathways in every direction, cycle paths, bridle ways everywhere, great to explore the outdoors.
Conkers centre is a great place for the kids, also has a 4D Cinema.
On Saturday we booked a Taxi into Ashby Da La Zouch with a cost of £15 plus £1 because we paid by card. On the way back it cost only £6.98 with Uber. Unfortunatly we couldn’t get hold of an Uber on the way there.
Ashby Da La Zouch is a nice little place with several pubs including a weatherspoons. We found a nice little italian resturaunt called Ask Italian and the food was superb, staff was very friendly and warming.
