Great story… a very sensible practical solution for the car’s running gear. Quite an appropriate engine for the Stag really… seems like this is a variant of the old GM / Buick V6 from decades ago… based on a V8 so a 90 degree cylinder angle and an offbeat growl / snarl a bit like the original Stag V8. I must confess I do have a soft spot for Wolfrace Slotmag alloy wheels on a 70s car… delightfully tacky throwback to the 80s customisation scene ! My mate Colin had them on his little Mk3 Midget ! 😊

That’s just great. And so glad that Australia could contribute with a Holden Commodore engine, and running gear. They were great motors, as I had one. You should have tried Australia, as the Triumph Stag was a pretty popular car here. I have a couple of original sales brochures, if you’d like one. I could post it to you.
