As someone with a lot of stories I've never put to paper, I really feel that one. Think someday I am going to rent a cabin with no internet, uninstall all the games from my PC, and just spend a couple weeks hiking around the woods and writing a book.

I got this multiverse going on since I was a kid, the same people keep being reincarnated in a way, the very foundations have changed but some things stayed the same, its all in free fall at the moment and I've been trying to come up with an actual start as my first or eventual web comic or something, have to learn to draw first though, still on the learning path for that.

I feel slightly attacked by this video... You were describing ME! From the time I was in the 6th grade way back in 1997 I've had an expanding MULTIVERSE of characters but never actually written out the stories. I have attempted to write out some of it multiple times but I've always either not liked how the story came out, wanting to elaborate more on who the characters are and how they interact with each other or straight up lost the files and had to completely start over from scratch. My stories literally span over 50 years in universe and like I said there's also a vast multiverse involved. My stories were largely inspired by DC and Marvel comics which my dad and I are both fans of. My dad was also a big inspiration as he actually created the first character that my stories would be centered around. Mallardman originally started out as an art project my dad did when he was in high school. At the time it was just an image, there was no story behind the character. He kept that drawing for years until I found his old high school art folder when I was in the 6th grade. I asked about the character he drew and when I found out he didn't really have a story I wrote one for the character. It was just a short little description that explains who he is, a scientist from the planet Drakeon named Droake Ral Hallen. He came to Earth to study the ducks on our planet never intending to become a super hero but ended up saving a human woman from a car accident and falling in love with her. There's a LOT more to this story as they eventually end up having three kids together, one of which dies. There's another planet in his solar system that's also in the habitable zone that use to be at war with Drakeon, a peace treaty between those two planets, and a super villain who's an old war veteran that doesn't know how to adjust to life in peace times. Currently the family tree of this universe my dad started spans three whole generations and it's mostly all still stuck in my head. I have created a lot of it's characters in City of Heroes, I have a web site, some of it's on RU-vid channel, I've also collaborated with Dawn Radio and allowed them to use some of my characters in their DAWNMINATION series but there's still a LOT I've never written down. There's also script I wrote out in high school for a movie I never got to film. I wrote it in such a way that it could be easily adapted for stage as well and because I had that in mind as I was writing I kept a lot of the sci-fi elements more limited. I have never seen a science fiction story that could be performed on stage before because so many of the effects that typically exist in science fiction would be impossible to replicate in a live performance so that was my goal is to make a science fiction story that could work as a live performance on stage. It was a story that involved an alien invasion but the aliens were microscopic and could infect and control human minds like a hyper intelligent virus. The first act of the story is set in a future where the aliens have already taken over and there's only a small hand full of human survivors. They have to steal a time machine to go back to when the aliens first arrived and cure the originally infected before they can spread it to the rest of the population. The way I wrote the time machine for the stage version was to have them walk into the machine off stage. That's where the intermission would start before the second act begins. Then everyone would renter in a black out and appear center stage as the lights come back out. You could of course edit in effects for the time travel in the movie version but there's a natural break between acts for the stage version. There's another script I was working on I never really finished. It's a horror movie called "Don't Ask Questions" it's really a movie within a movie because the plot is actually about the making of a horror movie where characters either die or become injured for real. It starts with a producer getting a script with no author and he keeps getting revisions through out the production as actors are killed off. The injuries are super natural in nature as the prop blood on set becomes real. I actually wrote in a scene where the prop manager is trying to wash her hands only to realize that she's actually bleeding when the blood won't wash away. There is a super natural entity in the movie as well and the actor playing this entity is a method actor who never breaks character so the audience is never really sure if they're seeing the actor or the character whenever he's on screen. The reason it's called "Don't Ask Questions" is because that's what triggers all of the deaths and injuries on set. Any time anyone questions who the author is or questions anything about the script they end up dead or injured soon after. As long as they play their parts as written they're safe. The character might die but the actor would survive. And there are two characters who do eventually figure out and finish the movie in one peace. And yes this was loosely inspired by Wes Craven's New Nightmare from 1984. I really like the idea that Robert England could play himself as the actor and Freddy Kruger as the character in the same movie. I put my own twist on it though. One scene in the movie is literally just a page that says "Film the actual auditions." Of course it should go without saying that no one would ever actually be harmed in the making if this movie. That is a part of the story so I could see where that could get confusing but the super natural elements should make it clear that it's not real. Of course the prop blood would always be prop blood, I'm relying on the actors, ACTING like it's becoming real. I'm sure the Atheists already knew that but just to be safe I wanted to make it clear there are no real murders in this horror movie. They're just plot points.

This is so relatable. I did nearly the same thing until about a year ago. I definitely want to check your book out.

After 20 years? You inspired me to go back and work on my stories and I'm younger than you.🙂

Appreciating the hell out of you, if there ever was a time most appropriate to say that i think it may be this year. Your grounded voice of reason i assume comes second to none for many and deservably (deservedly?) so. I wish you happiness and success and an increasing flow of financial gestures and support.

Generally I avoid buying anything on Amazon as much as I can, but for you I can certainly make an exception. Order placed! I can't wait to pour over those pages. Cheers!

Congratulations 🍾I was still a child during 9/11. I hope you’re book does well and not influence destruction like I’d half expect. Ideals being challenged im no stranger to. I wish you well on your release and God bless you as well as your family. I really do hope it does well.

What is weirdly intriguing to me is how you used "God bless you as well as your family" towards the end of your comment 🤔

I have a bunch of books on my tbr pile and I do consider buying it, but I would like to hear from you what makes it unique. The description alone sounds similar to other books I have read in the past and thus I hoped for some more information

0:05-0:42 sadly I’ve done this more times than I can count, but I’ve got at least three that I’ve put a lot of effort and devotion into which I have forever sealed in my mind by putting pen to paper.

Currently writing the last 10% of my first book. What I've realized on this journey is that writing a book isn't hard... typing it, however, is! Plenty of people have written stories in their heads, but actually getting it out of your head and onto a page can be a real struggle! So props on overcoming that hurdle.

Amazon isn't giving me the option of purchasing the paperback one, probably because I don't live in the US, but I have purchased the kindle version and I can't wait to read it! Love everything you do!

"0.05 have you ever dreamed of a story but 0.08 never put pen to paper 0.11 so your story just sort of evaporated 0.13 Into The Ether never to be heard by 0.16 anyone" Hasn't everyone? Although I haven't penned every story, I have written 2 short stories that I'm proud of.
