Wow, I moved to Germany from the US a couple months ago and this is the city I moved to! So cool to see a Get Germanized video of my new home and learn a lot of new things about it!! (And I kept painstakingly checking to see if I was ever in the background lmao. I was not :(( )

Ich bin Abonnent deines Kanals seit ein paar Jahren schon. Ich habe nie zuvor so schnell auf ein Video geklickt, denn ich verbrachte vor zwei Jahren mein Auslandsjahr in Lübeck, wobei ich an einer der Schulen als Fremdsprachenassistent arbeitete. Ich fühlte Fernweh beim Anschauen deines Videos besonders beim Ansehen der Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Vielen Dank für dein sehr informatives Video. Ich besuchte wohl dreimal das Holstentor Museum und fand gerade aus den Informationen in deinem Video Vieles heraus, was ich vorher über die Stadt nicht wusste!

Thanks for the great video. Germany has endless things to see. I have visited Germany four times and my bucket list of things to see always gets bigger. On my recent trip i visited another UNESCO World Heritage City, Bamberg. I would love to see you do a video about it.

Very interesting. I know you have included Cologne in some of your videos but I'd love to see a travel log type video of it. 😊 Even a drive around it with a map reference of where you are driving. I'm not asking too much, am I? LOL

Uwe Zimmermann + Thank you for correcting me. It's caused me to research the destruction and reconstruction of the city center. Amazing to me that it was rebuilt as it had been. Incidentally in the town I live in here in Illinois, I know a Zimmermann family.

Hätte ich es gewusst, dass DU nach Lübeck kommst, würde ich Dich zum Hansemuseum einladen und eine Führung durch das Museum anbieten(da hätte man noch mehr über Gründung und Geschichte Lübecks erfahren können;))

Lubbock and Lubeck sound similar. What if Lubbock was founded by Germans and they called it Lubbock to make it sound American! That is just my inference and theory. It is not meant to be accepted as fact.

Tarion Marsden I wish it was like that as I know Texas Germans are a thing, but Lubbock, Texas named after Thomas Saltus Lubbock- a former Texas Ranger and brother of Francis Lubbock who was the governor of Texas during the civil war.

Almost every bigger city in Germany was destroyed in WW2. Many, many buildings have never been rebuilt. It's really sad

I want to ask you something....can you find jobs in Germany if you dont speak too good deutsch...but you are just fine with english ?? I want to fix myself somewhere in bavaria part of Germany to work,but I know verry little deutsch like beginner A1's,since I am now learning it...would I have chances??? I have finished Gartenbau University

Many Germans speak English, everyone has to learn it at school. If you learn a little German, there are no problems. The rest comes by itself when you are here. With a horticultural study, you certainly have a chance to find a job. Look here.
