Gumby Pokey is right. Niki Haverstock showed us pics of Jasmine with the Nick Davis family from a couple years ago. Even with taking into consideration the filming schedule, which Niki did, it doesn't quite fit this narrative they are giving us. .The Davis clan is up to something for sure!
Literally the way you feel about Garrick is the way I feel about Naeem and Nihla. They’re trying to advertise a version of Islam that is not acceptable based on the values of the very religion 😬 Polygamy is acceptable with serious conditions and responsibilities; polyamory isn’t. I want to add that I’m totally down for people living their lives the way they want. But like the other abrahamic religions, heterosexual relationships is the preferred and accepted way of things. The way you don’t want Garrick to pretend certain things are kosher with Christianity is the way I feel about the salahuddin family. Be polyamorous; don’t call it Islamic polygamy.
I think Natalia knows that she and Garrick will never marry and is mourning everything, not just the wedding day. She’s a lawyer, she isn’t dumb. Personally, I think she expected they could marry in Brazil and maybe get a marriage visa but knows it is highly unlikely she will get a fiancé visa given the situation. In addition, the fact that Danielle and Garrick still don’t speak even conversational Portuguese after trying to marry Roberta and now Natalia really singles to me that they don’t care that much about these women and their culture and language, etc. If they really thought the wedding was going to happen in Brazil, I would think Danielle would fly down with their sons to be a part of the wedding day and be a family. I think they knew well in advance that the wedding was not happening, and that they just went through it for the sake of the show to pretend, and that that is why the boys were not there, even though they went to Mexico. If the kids had never been on the show, I would say maybe they don’t want them shown on television because they have been on already and weren’t brought to the wedding, that tells me that they knew this wedding was never going to happen.
The mother "changes" her reason cause she is trying to find the "ah now i get it, she doesn't want to be involved" rational that they will understand. All of these couples are pushing their unhealthy boundaries on everyone. Ugh.
