Modulation effects such as chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, etc. work by using a Low Frequency Oscillator or LFO to control something about the audio, such as its amplitude, phase or frequency content. In this video I use a thyristor-based LFO circuit to control, via optical LED-LDR coupling, a passive attenuator. The result is a tremolo effect.
