Own a 2011 Black. Rear fender elimination kit. HAGEN shocks progressive fork springs. Brit custom silencers air box elimination with K&N air cleaners. And fly screen. Like the club man Bars can be riden all day feels light to Me at sub five hundred pounds. My other bikes are heavy touring Bikes.. I'm 68 this bike is like a fountain of youth makes me smile. People are very complimentary about its beautiful looks.
I had a 2011 Thruxton 900. Ohlin piggy backs on the rear. Race Tek front cartridges up front. Got the British Customs Air box removal with K&N on the throttle bodies. Twin Arrows like that one. Diablo Red. Gave it to my nephew Christmas 2018. Great review sir!
Sounds like an absolute beauty 👌 Such a cool bike and really does feel old school in a good way! That is very generous of you I hope he appreciates it haha. Cheers
Oh, that's 'The Sexy'. Brooklands Green. Best color Triumph has ever released. Ever. That bar is known as an 'M' bar, and is much more forgiving than the earlier true clip-ons. Those mounted underneath the top tripleclamp. The M-bar is as far as I can go now.
I first heard the sound of a Triumph in 1962, I believe it was a TT Special so open pipes....I was hooked! Harleys can come and go but there is no sound like an open piped British bike from the sixties. My new Bonneville, much as I love it, just does not have the same sound because of the engine firing order and size. Loved the video!
I went and sat on one of those when they were new. Love the look and color, but I just couldn't get comfortable on it. Went without a bike until 2021 when I bought my Speedmaster. Love the Speedy, but those British Racing Green Thruxtons always catch my eye. When i clicked on this video, I was hoping they were offering this color combo again lol.
I like what I see here, what a beauty in the classic sense… like a Jaguar E-type or Sophia Loren. You’re right about the sound, it really fits the bikes esthetics rather well. You can’t mount a 65" flat screen to your wall and hook it up to a 15 watts excuse for a soundbar. The sound has to fit the image! Nice one! Cheers, Lupo
You should ride a gen1 Thruxton R. Lovely bike. This one looks like it has 19" wheels as they look large? Great paint scheme in BRG. As you say sounds the business with the de-baffled Arrow exhausts.
It is a RAM mount, please find here amzn.to/3l5irXB To be honest about the re-map I am not too sure as it is not my bike, but yes I would recommend a re-map
The older 865cc 360 degree twin sounded so much better than the current 900cc 270 degree motor. I've got the Bonneville SE with Norman Hyde pipes which sound even better than the Arrows. My other bike is better in every way but the Bonneville is just more fun.
Hear hear! Excuse the pun 🥴 They really do sound so much better. Unfortunately due to emission reasons etc... It is hard to make such a great sounds bike these days.
I am afraid I don't know what grips they are. However they are not rare to find, if you just google brown diamond stitched motorcycle grips you will get something very similar!
Hi, I am ok thanks so much for asking 🙌 Definitely took a bit of a worse turn, but feel like I can really face my problems more head on now. Onwards and upwards as they say. All the best to you
@@redangrevival I'm glad to hear it mate. We men need to stick together and talk about this stuff. I'm on Sertraline, so I understand how difficult it can be to come off them.
@@huambo Thanks so much👍 100% we must stick together and talk about it. I am trying to cope without the meds and going ok so far. I say stay on them until you feel absolutely ready to give it ago. No rush
I think the Scrambler 1200 could be a really good buy. I just love the looks of the Speedmaster! Depends if you want that cruiser style or not. The Scrambler is a sportier ride 👍
Take off the bars and put on some clipons. Take off the small front fairing. Change the indicators for something smaller, then please, get rid of that hideous back end with a tail tidy. Oh, and upgrade the useless rear suspension. 👍
