I've always been a doll person. As a little girl my favorite baby doll went with me anywhere I could get away with taking her & often I got into trouble for bringing her places I wasn't supposed to take her. lol I was quite the little mother. When I was raising kids there wasn't the extra funds to collect baby dolls, but oh did I wish I could. I satisfied myself instead with buying my girls the most realistic dolls I could find. Then I was busy with grandkids while they were babies & really didn't have much time to think about it. Once the grandkids started growing up out of babyhood I'd stumbled across reborns. I was in heaven. I don't sleep with my babies though. I didn't as a child either. Plus I have big dogs in the bed. 🤣
Yeah, I don’t have grandkids. I’ve always loved dolls. But I really love them now. I think it’s cuz I miss having babies. I also did daycare for years. But now I’m too old for daycare that’s for sure!
I loved seeing your babies, Grumpa Bubba is gorgeous and so nice and big. I know you have a lot more dolls somewhere because I've been watching your video's for a long time. Have you sold them or stored them away? I have 2 empty bedrooms upstairs where my babies live but I usually keep 2-3 downstairs in my bedroom but I don't sleep with them. I have one son who is creeped out by dolls and when he comes home to visit I usually have to combine all the dolls in the other guest bedroom, haha. My other son doesn't mind sharing the room for a few nights with the dolls. Anyway, glad I'll be seeing more of you, love you and your mom and Pippin.
We stupidly gave a lot of them away. I mean we are glad we gave some away, but also regret getting rid of some. And honestly, I have very limited room in my house. My mom has a nursery tho. We love u and we are glad you e been watching us for awhile! Hugs!❤
Hi Kirstie, thank you for showing us your baby collection. I had three Paradise galleries babies. I had Surprise and delight and I loved her but sold her on. I still have pixie girl who is my absolute favourite but her scented vinyl is too strong for me so I can’t cuddle her for very long which makes me sad. I also have baby bundles born to sparkle and she is my snuggle baby because her vinyl is squishy and unscented. She is the one I sleep with sometimes. 🥰 I have one custom reborn who was very expensive. He looks exactly like my son when he was a newborn. Maybe I should do a video on them someday. It is frustrating that the doll community gets teased so much. It’s not fair. I love my dolls so much! I love watching your videos and I miss your Mom too. You are so sweet with her. 🙏😊
I just subscribed to your channel! ❤❤❤ Born to Sparkle is cute! And they are softer. We use to have a couple of them, wish we hadn’t given them away now. I’m sorry you don’t like the scented babies. I love them…..but I know some people really can’t deal with the smell. I don’t like that we get teased for our hobby either…..but I also don’t really care what people think either. I mean I kind of do…..cuz honestly I would love to take my dolls in public but I’m too chicken. I will take them in the car with me tho.

Names can be hard. When I got Sophie I knew her name right away. But with my new baby, who’s not finished yet. I struggled with what to name him. I ended up going through names while looking at his pictures before I found one that fit. He is a Darren asleep kit that I am painting myself. He will be my first, and when reborn will be named Lukey.
@@KirstiHassman-vj1np not sure about that. I’ll let you know when I’m finished so far he has cost me 90$ and I still have more I need to get. I will be getting more supplies soon but I estimate at least another 90$. And that’s with the kit being 50% off.
That’s wonderful! I think it’s great to have many dolls, but at the same time, it can also be overwhelming. And u feel like you arnt giving them all the love they need.
I usually cuddle with a doll before bed when I lay down and watch tv but I’m a restless sleeper and would throw a poor dolly to the floor overnight 😂 My favorite doll name right now I’m hoping to use for my next girl is Vivienne Paige and my top boy name is Levi Benjamin! I'm 59 and 5 years ago I went back into working with childcare and preschool, after raising my family and working as a library technician. About 5 years ago I picked up a couple of old life-size sort of dolls at a thrift store and then gradually over the last few years I started to collect dolls. I don't have a huge budget so I only have a couple of artist painted ones and I have several Ashton Drake and Paradise Gallery dolls as well and a few Ali Express. Some I bought new, but a few I found used but in good condition. I've collected some supplies, air dry paints hoping to try my hand at some painting practice soon, and I'm now in the process of surgery taking some dolls apart, changing their bodies and re-stuffing them. Those Ashton-Drake ones have horrible Square bodies which are very weird, with some of the older ones even having bags of sand in them ...yuck! I really enjoy this hobby and I personally don't care what people think. After raising a my family I really enjoy working with little people part-time and I have learned how to play again! I've been separated from my husband for 7 years, but we're not divorced. I have one of our Chihuahuas at my place the boy and he has the girl one. My two youngest adult children still live at home with him because his house is bigger than my small apartment and rents have become completely outrageous. I get badgered and at times by my husband and kids about my dolls too, but I don't care. I hardly ever have a glass of wine, or other alcohol and I don't smoke, or have other vices so who cares if I like dolls and preschool toys! I use the toys when I work and when I nanny. My boss at the daycare I sub at says I remind her of Mary Poppins, because I'll always pop in with a toy that the kids don't have so they have something new to check out while I'm there. I really enjoy the doll Hobby and I snuggle with them too sometimes when I need something to cuddle. Most of the outfits I have bought second-hand off Facebook buy and sell, or Carter sales. My two granddaughters that are one and four live in Saskatchewan and I live in BC so I don't get to see them very often. I'm taking my granddaughter a doll when I go visit here next week, and a new re-weighted born to Sparkle PG doll, with rings I put around her legs so they turn for my Sister. I really enjoy your wonderful videos, and It's so great to see what some of the dolls I don't have look like before I possibly purchase them. It's so great that you and your mom share the dolly hobby, and your are so blessed to have such a fun and loving relationship! You're a blessing to so many of us Dolly Mommas. I don't sleep with my dolls unless i fall asleep with one special doll of mine. Then my husband puts her to bed. Sometimes i get her bassinet and her next to my bed.

I sleep with 2 smelly little dogs about Pippin’s size. But I’ve always loved babies! And at this point in my life, there are no more baby grandkids. I think my love of babies got me into the baby doll collecting. And I don’t give a hoot if some people think it’s weird. So there.
The cars are RC cars. I use to be into them. Like you I'm 59 and love my baby dolls. I thought I would never get into this type doll. I had AG, 1/6 action figures. With baby dolls I can dress them in clothes I get from Goodwill. The other dolls clothes are expensive. I image my dolls as little sport teams. Right now I have them separated into the SEC football teams. That's college football. I'm a Gamecock. I imagine them going on adventures in the wild. That is why I call my nursery Dad's Basecamp Nursery. I don't sleep with any of my dolls. But they are in my room so I can look at them. Another thing about these dolls is all the customizing you can do to them. You ladies have taught me so much. I want to get a wagon I can pull them around in pretending they are on safari. I love you ladies. You make me laugh. Great video 👍👍

It’s an Apple…..I ordered my iPad case from Amazon. I thought it would be a glitter case but it’s only a picture of glitter…….but still pretty I guess.
I don't sleep with any dolls but I have roughly 16 or so and my one brother just saw my collection for the 1st time this week and said they were creepy 😂 they are lee middleton, paradise galleries, aston drake, aliexpress and reborns by artists, they are all really cute, I have 2 corner shelves and a little dresser type thing I put clothes in and a couple dolls on along with a keyboard and pilates machine just a spare bedroom without a bed lol ..thanks for sharing your dolls I love them...where's all your aliexpress dolls? We love ALL the dolls you mentioned! We go thru phases…..we gave our Aliexpress ones away cuz we noticed on some of them they were getting discolored. Have any of yours done this? And we don’t put dark clothing on them either. Then we also just got out of Aliexpress dolls and went back to PG and then discovered custom dolls and we have a very great artist who is truly wonderful and we trust her. We may get more Aliexpress dolls later tho. We love them all.
@KirstiHassman-vj1np oh none of the aliexpress dolls have discolored, I did not know that, thanks for telling me I'll be watching out ..I have this pg all the ladies love me doll..I hadn't realized it had glued hair..I really don't like that on a doll and I didn't like the limbs either lol I went to return it and it was gonna cost as much as the doll (they say return in original pkg) I ended up putting a hat on it and switched out the body with a cuddle body hahaha I wouldn't mind getting a channel going when I get some time... Its fun watching you and your mom switching out different bodies and so forth on your dolls and I learned alot ..your my favs in the doll world 💕🙋♀️
Some of my dolls names. I like themes colors, flowers and places. Special tv show characters i enjoyed. Here are some of my dolls names. Summer, Spring and Fall even Harvest with little Winter and Autumn. Rose, Violet, peony and Garland and Magnolia Jean and Daisy. Lilac, Pinky and Goldie and Emerald. April, May and June, September. Lucy, Jeanie and Tabitha also Mary and Tyler and my boy... Moore ♥️ Rhonda and Marcia and Jan, Cindy and Alice. Crystal, Opal and Diamond 💎 plus Rubie and Topaz, Pearl. Those are some and I have plant names and luxurious names...Mercedes and Porsche plus Mink and places like Paris, London, Cali and Egypt.
I love your names! So smart to name them after tv people…..like the Brady bunch etc. I’ve done candy and flowers and seasons. My huge doll….her full name is Winter Rose, but I call her Winnie for short.

I do sleep with a chosen doll that seems to touch my heart at the moment and give me comfort. I do sleep with many of my reborn dolls. Nino, my girl doll for a long time and lately I have had a passion for the full body floppy silicone dolls made after doll sculpts. They feel so real in your arms. Ivita is my favorite brand of silicone dolls. My husband has no problem with it as he has fishing and other hobbies with things he collects and he likes certain type of pillows. We have a queen bed. My husband sleeps on the right side with his night stand and I sleep on the left with my night stand. When I decide to hold my doll or lay it next to me then its hubby on the right, me in the middle and dolly on the left on the edge. That way my husband is still close to me and dolly is as well. So I get the best of both worlds! Nothing wrong with sleeping with special pillows or stuffed animals even special blankets and sheets it's about feeling relaxed, peaceful and sleeping well. ❤
I completely agree with you! I’ve never had a silicone doll….ever. Do they feel like jelly in your arms? Do they feel real? Do they attract a lot of dust? I may get one some day in the far future. ❤
@KirstiHassman-vj1np Silicone feel floppy like a real newborn is floppy. You can wash them and baby power them so they don't collect dust or hair sticking to it because of the oil in the silicone. Silicone are my favorites now.

Love your channel. You and your Mom make it so fun. I am 55 and still have my dolls i had since i was a child. Love the paradise galleries dolls. I sleep with a different doll every week, along with my 3 cats. They bring me comfort and make me happy. Grumpy girl is my favorite as well as Piper and sleepy frog baby but i love them all!
Yea! You sleep with them! They are so comforting to me. I totally get why some people don’t sleep with them tho. I only have certain ones I sleep with. I have 3 cats, but hubby doesn’t like them being in the bed at night. I like it tho. I don’t even mind if my cats sleep on my back at night. 😊

Hey lady! How you doin? Finally found your video that redirected me here. Yeah I'm slow lol 😂 ... I sleep with my adolly Joseph asleep mostly every night. He is my definite go to to sleep with. I've loved dolls my whole life as well. I don't have a nursery either. I live with my adult kids because of cost saving reasons for each of us. I did a video of all my babies a few weeks ago. And I agree I don't understand why this particular hobby gets so much negative feedback when guys get train collections and model cars and stamps that they dust off and look at and do paint touch ups etc. Really what's so different about dolls. Shoot people collect Barbies like crazy too and I don't get that hobby but it's not for me to judge and to each their own. Happy Sunday

I sleep with my babies...they all get a turn being on my bed...don't want anyone getting jealous 😂...I think God made us special...we will always be forever young in our hearts...and I think it a perfect gift because we can always see through a child's eyes...what better way to be even closer to God...❤
What a lovely collection. I am getting DS Emma cross fingers for Xmas or beginning next year, I also love Crabby Cakes and Story time girls and so they are on my wishlist. I like the idea of a cuddle baby with 1/4 limbs. I need feet and hands.

I have my 3 chihuahuas in bed with me so would be afraid to sleep with a reborn and wreck it!! Honestly, it’s cuz a lot of them started turning colors…..like a bruising type of thing. Not all….but a lot. Plus, we go through phases. Sometimes we get mad at decisions we have made to give up certain dolls. But we have learned from that. We still love the Adolly dolls though. Maybe it’s cuz we ordered them from Aliexpress that they started changing color? And we are always careful about not putting dark clothes on them. It also feels good to give them away to little girls or to the elderly.
I have a spinal deformity and have had a massive operation straighten the bottom of my spine, I have had it fused together from the waist down and had my sacrum broken and reshaped - it was an awful time but it improved my mobility considerably so I don’t regret it - I do have arthritis on top of that but it doesn’t bother me too much, they think I have nerve damage in my upper spine - I’m on strong neurological pain killers that make me a bit daft🤣🤣🤣 thankfully they do work though 🥰🥰
I would be sleeping with one of my dolls if I was sleeping alone :) I’ve got to his vintage Chou Chou doll with soft body so I would sleep with that one 😊
I think the doll hobby is made fun of because it is "female centric" for the most part even tho some guys are in the hobby too. I don't sleep with my dolls because I would be afraid of ruining them.
