I love this song and the movie faults and all. Its a guilty pleasure for me because i grew up watching the Bond films on cable when i was a kid and it was always a Roger Moore and Sean Connery film. Every now and then I'd see OHMSS or the two Dalton films. But it was always Roger Moore I'd see on TV until Goldeneye came out. I love it and not ashamed. Sadly almost every actor in this film have passed on besides Christopher Walken and Grace Jones. May they rest in peace.

Great opening sequence. Very underrated, underappreciated Bond movie. Max Zorin (played by Christopher Walkin) is one of the all time great Bond villains.

you face to face in a secret place with someone who's about to kill you, can u feel the chill. in that last moment when u have a gun pointed at u, gun can be a metaphor for u in a very difficult situation you face to face with, that last chance u have to think so much can transpire and how u see things (your view) will determine whether u live or die. to survive you must ask yourself why? why do i want to live? y do i want to succeed or get past this difficult situation? your (why) must be sacred. when u find that sacred why be it plans to get married, plans overseas, then u gotta dance into the fire. a fatal kiss, a dangerous moment is what u really needed to find the pheonix for the flame. my summary for this wonderful song.

I have just listened to this song on "Duran Duran" radio on iHeart Radio. To me this is the best "James Bond" song, way better than "Quatum of Solace". Very dark, very secretive and seductive. One of the songs that was stuck or rolling around in my mind up here in Monroe, WA during the intense heat this Summer. Wish I could see or hear Marc Martel or the rock band Keane cover this song, that would be interesting, honestly

Great song, one of my top Bond songs. Although I do wonder how things would have turned out if David Bowie had accepted the role of Max Zorin. Christoper Walken was awesome but I think Bowie could have equalled Walken in his own way. If Bowie did take the role then he probably would have performed the title track.

I hated this stuff when I was a kid. Now, it strikes me as absolutely brilliant. The verse is mostly in Cm, but the orchestra hits are actually C major, then somehow find ourselves in Ab going to the minor 5th a couple of times, a walkup to the B, then C# and we land on an E up to the Ab minor. This is genius, but it was way over my adolescent head that couldn't get over their hairdos lol. This music is deceptively complex, and you don't really see anyone doing anything remotely close to this in contemporary popular music.

In the summer of 1985, I was stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia. This song, and the motion picture itself, came out at that time. I went to go see this movie during its original release. That, and Rodney Dangerfield’ “Back To School”. Dire Strait’s “Money For Nothing” was climbing the Top 40 charts.
