Apologies for the audio cutting out at 11:13 I have no idea what happened ! I've cut that section of the vid out now. I was just showing the new planter I bought for Lewie's little remembrance garden.

Greetings from Ireland, Beautiful Garden, Its the bees knees. We lost our dog Marley four weeks ago he was nineteen and had a good life. I bought a beautiful purple alstroemeria and planted in a pot the following day and every time I pass by it I think of him.

@nicholasryan5401 Hi, thank you so much for watching it's much appreciated. I am so very sorry to hear about your loss, it's heartbreaking, Marley what a lovely name. I know what you mean about planting something, if you are into gardening I do think it helps, I have made a little garden for Lewie and it does give me comfort to fuss over it a bit for him, daft probably to some but it helps me. I recently spotted a dahlia called Linda's Baby so I had to buy that :) I'm sorry for your loss they do leave a huge hole when they go. Thanks again for watching, take care.

Hi Linda, so nice to have you back and thank you for filming your lovely garden. Your Tulips are looking good and I like the pink ones with the blue Muscari. Those colours go so well together. Isn't your Pieris a lovely colour? Mine is going over a bit now but it's been the best I've ever seen it. I think it's liked all the rain we've had. I survived storm Kathleen but two days later my garden took a real battering and finished off a lot of the Tulips. At least I had a couple of good weeks out of them and the neighbours said how nice they looked. I'm sure that Lewie's remembrance garden is going to look wonderful and will be a huge comfort to you. I'm sure that you're feeling like you've lost a limb without him but he will always have a special place in your heart. Take care. xxx

@wendybartlett6717 Hi Wendy, thank you so much. Yes storm Kathleen was quite something, such a shame when your tulips were open and I bet they looked really lovely too, it was very strong gusts wasn't it over quite a long time? I got as much as I could of the things I have in pots into the garage for a few days so I did manage to save some of the tulips you see here. It's very difficult, we can only do so much can't we? The rain has started here now so looks like my gardening is over for a while. Lewie's little garden will hopefully be pretty when it's done and it's something I can 'fuss' over and feel like I'm doing something for him, sounds silly but it does help. Every room in the house there seems to be something of his, I haven't been able to tidy his stuff up yet but I am getting there, his little coats are still hung up in the cupboard with his lead, it will get easier I'm sure. I do feel lost sometimes but the garden is a great comfort and fresh air, just getting out of the house helps a lot. Thanks again, you're very kind. I do appreciate it very much xxx

@@soulgirlktf Hi again Linda, Lewie's garden will definitely be a comfort for you. It's still early days and I can understand how different life is for you as Lewie was a part of it for so long. It's the little things that can suddenly set us off. When our dog "Dougal" passed away it was seeing his lead and bowls that would have me in tears. I still think of him and he's been gone many, many years now. I find that a few hours in the garden can brighten my mood as life can be challenging at times and I'm glad that you've been able to get in yours. Try and think of the good times you had with Lewie but I know it will be hard. All your gardening friends have enjoyed seeing him in your videos and we've been upset when we heard that he had passed away. Take comfort that he had a very happy life with you. Take care Linda. xxx

@@wendybartlett6717 Hi Wendy, Dougal what a lovely name. I'm sorry you've been through this too. You are right of course in what you say, wise words and I know things will get easier. I'm grateful for such lovely friends, it means a lot, thanks Wendy xxx

Hi Linda on a beautiful morning in Kent. Nice to hear your voice again and see the lovely colour in your garden. I like the idea of the Flowering Quince. I have two red ones. For some reason one flowers much earlier than the other although one came from the other; I plant seeds from the fruit. Your Pieris looks lovely too. I think mine needs feeding; leaves not dark green. Aren't we lucky to have gardens? P.

@peterhaymaker7562 Good morning Peter, it's a bit overcast here today but good weather for gardening - I've just come in for a coffee. It's dry at least for this morning here although rain is expected this afternoon so I've been getting as much done as possible from a very early start. I liked the quince as soon as I saw it. I was looking for something for Lewie's little garden that would be in flower at this time and I thought the flowers were very pretty. Your Pieris looks lovely Peter, do you give it an ericaceous feed ? It might like that now that it's flowered. Yes for sure we are very lucky to be able to go out into our gardens most days and dig in the dirt - it's very therapeutic and the birds are very busy now and I have a blackbird and robin following me looking for worms, I'm seeing lots of ladybirds on everything. Thank you for watching, it's much appreciated. Enjoy the beautiful Kent sunshine in your lovely garden.

@@soulgirlktf Hi Linda, My Pieris has never had any ericaceous feed so next time I go the garden centre I'll get something. Thanks for the advice. As you've been talking about the Flowering Quince I decided to pick up some of the old fruit and have planted 10X seeds. We'll see what happens. Planning on planting some Climbing French Bean seed this afternoon and mow the lawn too as rain is forecast here tomorrow around midday. Watered all pots as they soon dry out.too. Sunshine = happy bunny. P.

@@peterhaymaker7562 Hi Peter, I think they like acidic soil to neutral, not sure what soil you have there but I know you can grow a wonderful garden in it whatever it is you have ! I bought Vitax Azalea, Rhododendron & Shrub Fertiliser at my local garden centre, it's in a purple box, granules, so slow release. I pop a good handful in the pot then top dress with a layer of ericaceous compost and water in well. Once in Spring after it's flowered then again in mid Summer but I think it will tell you all this on the box :) I'm looking forward to seeing if your quince seeds germinate, I love free plants. Yesterday I opened a pot in a plastic bag buried at the back of the greenhouse and to my delight 3 choisya cuttings had rooted over the winter. I have some dwarf french beans to sow thank you for reminding me I had forgotten about a box full of all kinds of seeds I haven't touched yet. I would love your sun but sadly I have more rain today oh well, take care and happy gardening.

@@soulgirlktf Thanks Linda, I'll look for some of that. I think one of my friends used it on her Camellia and it performed wonderfully this year. We've got a sort of sandy loam soil I suppose that is P.H. neutral. We overlie ragstone and in places we have very little topsoil. The other side of our fence was a ragstone quarry years ago. The general term for what we've got is called, 'The Hythe Beds.' It's very free draining which isn't so good in the summer. All in all no complaints. Cheers! P.

@@peterhaymaker7562 Good morning Peter, I have learned something new there. I hadn't heard of The Hythe Beds and one article I read took me off on a wonderful story about T E Lawrence, our diverse geology and history is fascinating. We have quite heavy clay here and in some places in my garden it's thick wet sticky mud and this rain is proving quite a challenge at times, puddles everywhere but thankfully it does drain albeit slowly. I am constantly adding amendments to help with drainage and break it up but it's an uphill task :)

Lovely Linda. After a shit day sitting back watching that was lovely. Tell me are any of your roses showing just the single bud on the stems? After ridiculously early growth this year, 90 percent of my roses are in bud now but I’ve many roses that I’m seeing just the one bud per stem. And those buds are kinda just remaining static now. Are you noticing this at all on some of your roses ? P.s it’s not a sun room it’s a lounge :) 😂😂 And thanks for naming the pomponettes we weren’t sure what they were called
@soulgirlktf

@Jay_Jay I'm sorry you had a bad day I'm sending a virtual hug to you & Donna hope today is a better one. I haven't noticed any buds on my roses yet, I'm North Yorkshire so probably a bit slower start than you. It has been a mild start though just as Punxsutawney Phil predicted in Feb I love that little fella I watch him every year. It's been very wet so not sure if that's why you're seeing those static buds now. Hopefully as Spring really gets going things will brighten up for us. Haha I did have plants in the actual 'lounge' as it happens, I start my anemones off in there on a long sideboard after Xmas. I'm a nitemare, plants everywhere ! The Pomponettes (Bellis Perrenis) are cute and last such a very long time through Winter they really cheer me up. Hope you have a good day today x
