After taking in a show at the Sydney Opera House, we head north to the Sunshine Coast and our first stop is at Noosa Head where we go off on a walk around the Noosa Nature Reserve which has fairy pools and the dreaded Hells Gate.
"If paradise is half as nice as heaven that you take me to Who needs paradise I'd rather have Noosa" Paraphrasing Andy Fairweather Low singing in Amen Corner's 1969 hit. I'm old enough to know it well and Noosa is like a second home to me.
How wonderful it is for you to be making these memories, the sun the surf the best australia has to offer, the beasties big and small. Enjoy. And stay safe.
Lovely to see sunshine as we are here in Northumberland bracing ourselves for storm Kieran... and thanks Mike, I will probably be singing that song all day.. Sue
I think there was some kind of swimming gala on, but we just couldn't believe how busy it was so early. I suppose in Australia people get up and out before it gets too hot. Not at all like that in UK where we stay in bed as long as we can 🤣👍💕
Hello Mike Tricia and Jemma - greetings from Poland What a wonderful walk. So much to see and that coastal scenery is to die for! Real paradise/ Superb camera work Mike with an excellent commentary
Thanks Michael, always look forward to your comments. We had such a great day out, it was a walk i will never forget, mostly because I had Jemma to myself for the whole day👍💕
Once again thanks for sharing your day's adventure it all looks so clean and neat without interfering with nature!!! The beaches and sea do look awesome....😄
It's a wonderful part of the world..if you can hire a car,,you ha e the hinterland around Malany and further north Hervey bay and Fraser island.. The best place in my opinion..
Another great video. So nice you have this quality time to spend with your daughter. I have never seen that walk so busy but we usually go out of holiday time and avoid the weekends. I can confirm there are definitely Koalas on that walk but they are hard to see.
Hey Mike, Scotland is very nice but gee Australian Coast line around Noosa must be such a culture shock, especially the hot humid weather. Enjoy. As Billy Connelly would say, your 'blue' complexion stands out.
Thanks, we would just love to visit the West but Australia is so vast it's very difficult when we are here to see our daughter in Sydney. Maybe one day 👍💕
As a local (well Brisbane so more or less) Noosa is the busiest location on the Sunnie coast, worse if it was a weekend or school hols or major event on (Mooloolaba is the next busiest). Yes it is busy early as locals will be back out of the heat before 10 or maybe 11 at the latest in Spring and then return to the beach at 3 but many ‘southern’ tourists from NSW and Victoria stay out over the midday sun and get burnt to a crisp 😁 There are almost always koalas in the trees just at the entrance to the national park. We never have any luck spotting any further along but they can be hard to spot. I have to confess we’ve never swum at the Fairy Pools - you made them look inviting - better remedy that next visit!
Thanks Mark, we are headingto Mooloolaba next then Cairns, unfortunately our itinerary is tight and will not make it there but thanks for the suggestion 👍💕
Looks awesome and ‘fair dinkum’ mate! 😜btw we have those water stops all over Scotland now and more getting added each month. Any word on your new van/motorhome??
Queensland don't have daylight saving time because the extra hour of sunlight fades their curtains. You've entered the twilight zone. If you go to South Australia, you have to put your watch back 37 years. Enjoy.
You gave me a bit of anxiety watching you walk on those rocks 😅. And I dont mean to be a nag but you really shouldnt be in the sun from around 11am to 1pm as the UV rays are much stronger in Aus than where u r from. Most Aussies ignore that rule but most Aussies also get skin cancer too.
