The sun was shining so i decided to take my dog for a walk up Coniston old man, or should i say he took me for a walk as i was puffing and panting more than him.
Enjoyed this, especially the information you gave on where to park and start the walk. Path seemed easy to follow so think I will give this a go next year. Cheers Alan!
Thanks Alan, It's a good walk up Coniston Old Man, there's the tourist route up the front which is nice and steep, that's the way i went on this vid or you can go around the back way via Goats water which is a bit longer but levels out here n there. On a clear day the views are excellent
hi, I'm an Aussie heading to the UK in May, hiring a campervan and driving around..this is one place l am thinking of visiting and with the help of vid's like yours am getting an idea of level the climb might be at and what level of fitness one needs to be...may need to visit gym more frequently and do the treadmill more often with a raised elevation...thanks to people like you who post vid's like this so that people like me can research and gauge whether they are capable of visiting such places...thank you..
hi again..need to ask, how long did it take you and Rube to walk from car park to summit..?? if this is a walk that is going to take hours in just one direction then l may have to cancel, but if its a couple of hours there AND back, allowing for stops to intake more oxygen, chuckle, then that should be fine..please get back to me soon...Carol...
Carol Taylor It took us about an hour to get to the summit, it's a more direct and steep climb going up the front way, if you wanted a steady climb you can go up the back way past Goats water, it's a bit longer route but not as brutal on the legs. Enjoy your visit and thanks for watching my vids, Take care. JB
Hi ya Jay. Couldnt comment back to you on my vid for some reason! Having a watch of your vids. Ive used those boil in a bag things before and they are good but I want to get into actual real cooking while wild camping... Just need some more prep. Speak soon...
Hi, i cant understand why people cant reply to my post, maybe something in my settings i need to sort out. Yeah you cant beat some proper cooking in the field, at least you know whats going in it :) The camera i use is a Panasonic HC-V500, yeah it has a really good zoom on it plus its a nice small compact Camcorder.
