Welcome back it's another week with me as a UK primary teacher.
This week we had lots of Easter fun on our last week on the Spring term before we broke up for Easter! Including parent's evening, bake offs, Easter egg competitions and so much more!

Hey, once again I found this so interesting and enjoyable , am loving these videos. I did my work experience at a primary school in my local area and absolutely loved it! Any tips for a 16year old hoping to become a teacher? Xxx

Sophie hey! It’s so lovely that you want to become a teacher! Primary school or secondary? If primary, make sure you get C or above (I know it’s numbers now but I don’t know the equivalent) in English, Maths and Science and, if you’re not doing an education degree, try choose a core subject or a subject you really love and can do well in! What are you studying in college/ 6th form next year? X

@@DisplayLady Thankyou so much!! I'm thinking Primary School because I just love the imagination and open mindedness of children at that sort of age. I've chosen to do English Literature, Law and History at A-level (but English is really my favourite subject!) and then im hoping to do a teaching degree afterwards, my grades are looking pretty good so hopefully all will go to plan! How did you decide you wanted to be a teacher? Xx

Sophie English is my favourite too! I did an English degree not a teaching degree and I’m really glad I did that because in terms of subject knowledge needed for year 6 it has helped! I decided to be a teacher because of some really inspiring teachers I had in high school. X

I’m starting a Primary PGCE in September so these are so helpful and insightful to watch! I was wondering if you’d consider doing a video regarding tips for your first placement/starting as an NQT. Thankyou again for such fab videos!

Hannah Farrall Hi! I’m so glad you find them helpful! Yes I have had a few people mention that so I will film that while I’m off over Easter for sure.
