I don't like sleeping in hotel beds either. I travel with a mattress protector with the plastic backing and cover the entire bed then use my blanket and travel pillow.

Kim I knew u were my sister in my head the second u mentioned wrapping the entire bed! Lol. I bring my own blanket, pillow case and face towels!!! And this started waaaay l before the pandemic !! I’m fact, my suitcase has a can of Lysol, wipes, disposable gloves 🧤 all inside a plastic bag that stays packed and rdy to grab/go!! When I first enter the room, I IMMEDIATELY start disinfecting EVERY THING! The remotes, door knobs n handles, light switches, counter tops, bath tub n shower. It only takes 10 mins but I cannot function until this has been done. 😂 And Lord that comforter is immediately pulled to the foot of the bed. Yes, my family n friends thinks I’m crazy but I’m crazy AND CLEAN! 😝 ☝🏽 other thing I do is buy multiple pairs of flip flops from The Dollar Tree which I pack a pair and walk around the room in. On the last day at hotel, I discard them in the trash! I know Im EXTRA but it’s the ONLY way I can travel n keep my OCD anxiety in check.

Hello there. I get a mattress cover to cover the bed when I travel. I have OCD so the thought of me sleeping on a bed that others been on,that’s what I do and I always bring my own pillow and blanket as well.

This vlog is an inspiration to me. I really haven't ever traveled anywhere but after seeing this clip I think this is something to add to my bucket list. It looked so relaxing, peaceful and wholesome. Solo traveling might be something I need to do.

This just gave me a warm feeling. Girl when you walked in that hotel, my insides lit up. 🥲 It's beautiful and luxurious. It showed me this is my natural state, loved it. 😍 Hope you enjoyed. 🙏🏾

Recently moved back to Texas from PG County. I always loved going to Baltimore. The people are friendly. The city is indeed charming.

Baltimore native… I’ve stayed here! Loved it. Also I have the same bed phobia. You know they have sleep sacks for hotel beds you can purchase to avoid the bed wrapping😁

So. I am the same way with hotel beds. I don’t do the plastic but I travel with a blanket that I lay out to cover the entire bed and pillows. Glad to know that I’m not the only one

Here a suggestion that I do when I travel. I carry the plastic bed cover from Walmart or Target. Then I just carry my own sheets that fit that bed. I place in a separate bag and wash it when I get home. It make me comfortable. Also I spray Lysol and wipe down everything. Even carry Ziploc bags to put over the remote and handles.

Good to see you home again! The Sagamore Pendry pool bar is on my list of places to go this summer. They are usually booked for wedding on the weekends so I’m gonna try to go during the week if they open. The view of the harbor looks really pretty from there. Your such an inspiration! And I’m not just saying that because I’m from Baltimore.

I traveled to London and Belize by myself and had a freaking blast at first I was scared but I stayed safe in tourist groups met amazing people..Do an event in DMV sis..im back on the east coast in Bmore 🙏🏿❤️

My friend does the same thing, we bring our own pillows or satin pillow covers. You definitely have to be comfortable!

There's nothing like going 'solo' to recharge yourself for the coming week - Bravo. I have a very intense phobia of hotels. I actually don’t like to travel because of it. I avoid the hotel bed and sleep on the sofa with multiple sheets to cover the sofa. I was at a luxury air bnb with 4 levels, an elevator, and it was on the water, I pulled the sheets back to wash the sheets and the mattresses were soiled with big urine stains. I was disgusted. I don’t like hotel bathrooms, and even get anxiety when it’s time to shower. I am very particular about my environment and cleanliness longggg before the pandemic. I commend you for taking precaution in hotels and air bnbs. You have to because it can be really unsanitary, and you have to protect yourself.

I always bring my own towels and wash clothes since I once found someone else’s “hair” in a wash cloth at a hotel I was staying in. It grossed me out so much. And I always check the bedding to see what’s hiding in there, if anything . Lol.

I have a weird thing about sleeping on bedding that isn't mine too. The last airbnb I went too, I stripped the bedding, sprayed everything with lysol and washed the bedding (there was a washer and dryer in the unit). There was no way I'd be able to comfortably sleep without, at the least, washing everything.

Maybe you're my younger twin. I do the same with hotel beds. I "always" travel with my own sheet and pillowcase, mini-Lysol etc. I never unload anything from my bag or suitcase before using my care package (I breakout easily, having extra sensitive skin). What is the name of the hotel? Last time I was there I stayed with family. My first children (twins) and I lived there, and I used to take them those places after work and on Sundays, to have fun. I love Baltimore, It's a whole different vibe from anywhere else. I love most of your outfits. That green jacket and glasses are pretty.

Girl, my mom taught us to never sleep on hotel bedding. Even if you have to ask for extra towels to cover the pillow cases and sheets. Now my daughter takes her at least her own blanket when traveling. You did give me and idea About the plastic though! We traveled a lot because we were a military family and traveled alot and have seen some things in even the "best" hotel rooms that make you feel yucky.

That’s not strange. I do the same thing in hotels. But, I disinfect the bed key it dry and then wrap it👍🏾

I take that top quilt off too. I can sleep on their sheets but I HAVE to bring my own pillow case and face towels. I'd probably pass out if I actually had to touch a hotel towel to my face.

I used to bring pillowcases and sheets when I went on holiday. I would wrap myself in the sheet so the duvet wouldn’t touch me lol

Girl, I'm a registered nurse and I have always traveled with a hygiene bag. This is even before the pandemic. I don't care how upscale the hotel is. Everything gets wiped down and sprayed with Microban. Then I too can rest better at night. When I leave and re-enter my room it may smell like an OR but it works for me.
