We make what we call Aussie spuds , baked potato , coleslaw , creamed corn , sour cream and grated cheese , sprinkle fried bacon on the top , just made pasta , a bit of a disaster as no surface in my home is suitable for the pasta maker to screw onto
I've done a couple of similar videos more recently - here's the link to one I did in August last year: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8ZGmQEfKMeg.html Plus one I did in January this year with the kids cooking: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nq-R973acPQ.html
Tip for the onions: place a wet cloth or sponge next to the onions as you are chopping them. The onion vapours are absorbed by the wet cloth instead of going into your eyes. I have tried everything (including the googles) and this is the only thing that has worked!
On the fire. Smart move. I have a japanese curry boiling on the fire right now. (I grow my own potatoes when possible. Saves the money. Loose potatoes are like 3$ a kg where i live. Criminal)
Nice family menu. We are vegan so can adapt most. Should you want to use coconut milk in your curries or have the coconut flavour I use milk (or yoghurt) and a few drops to taste of coconut essence. Its not the real thing but close ish!
Crazy isn't it?! You might be interested in a couple of updated videos I did - one from August last year doing dinners for $2 per person for a week - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8ZGmQEfKMeg.html - and another earlier this year getting my kids to figure out a dinner for $2 per person - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nq-R973acPQ.html , hope they're of some help :)
