This might be a bit odd to say, but the way you write your characters just makes them feel so real. Like, when playing other games, I’ll trudge through dialogue thinking “there’s no way certain characters would act that way”, or do various actions for any other reason than just to advance the plot. Your characters however act exactly how they’re supposed to. Like the plot revolves around their actions, and not the other way around. It’s just something I rarely see.

I loved this game, both the art style and the plotline were so adorable, and I liked seeing Fia's perspective on things. Also, the fact that it's possible to just play through the game without ever seeing the scary parts is nice, so it's truly possible for it to just be a cute game where you play as a cute kid getting tucked into bed by her loving mom, it's so sweet and wholesome! 🥰 I also think Jaxter looks really cool, so I'll be interested to see the game with him when it comes out (though I understand it'll take a while with other projects, so of course take your time with it)! 😊

Yeah, my fingers were crossed that when Manly came back to the house after getting all of the candy Fia would have turned out to have been stalked by the axe guy and find her mother dead in the living room. I'm both surprised and relieved that the devs didn't go THERE.

the game does not give much hints unless we are talking about the fact that people began to stay at home afraid to go out, someone was on a date, someone did not send or threw away parcels... maybe it just doesn't have an answer and only what a child might notice. the game is built on this. I don't know about the traumatized look. Maniacs would look the same. crazy look. although.. He's definitely not indifferent. but does this mean that he was definitely defending himself? I would like to believe in the best. but maybe this isn't even the first murder. since people are scared. 🤷 he has an axe, it obviously cannot be a randomly taken item from his pocket.

honestly with how close in proxy the flowers and a mysteriously full box of specifically love chocolates was laying to the murder, perhaps pore ol jax got stood up and went hunting.(just a assumption giving the almost rage like look in his eyes)

I wonder if it's because Fia spent so much time looking for all of the candy? It's pretty flimsy, but the justification could be that if she went home instead of searching for every piece of candy she could eat she wouldn't have been out late enough to see him. That's just where my mind went to, at least!

Her dad was stated by the mother to already be dead before this point in the story, and based off the fact that Jax seems to have moved into what is likely the father's old room he probably has been for some time.
