Other than the very brief mention of DVG's "B-17 Flying Fortress Leader" in the beginning, I would've liked to see just a bit more mention - comparison wise - of that game as part of this video. It helps a lot when reviewing a game, if certain game elements can be put in context with other similar games that the audience might be familiar with. And it's a safe bet - given the niche subject - that most players looking at this game either already own or are aware of "B-17 FFL". For instance, I like how B-17 FFL models the crews (skill advancement/promotion/etc), which I didn't see much of in this review. But I like how this game models the actual formation, which B-17 FFL also does, but in a less immersive way. Also, it looks like that B-17 FFL manages to offer more decision making with less dice rolling. But I can't tell for sure from this video, that would've been nice to hear any commentary on. Regardless, given the subject matter, this game is an instant buy for me.. am heading to their website now!
Oh Wow great review, definitely going to get this one. Once the bomber squadron was in the air there wasn't much a commander could do but make sure they navigated to the target & back and made sure everyone stuck together for protection. Lock and Load has Black Friday sale prices until November 30!
