not only that but she responds with a level of enthusiam that is definitely NOT one you'd have for "that dude who fought a war with my dad," but is definitely understandable for "the guy who saved my life from the empire"

Seeing Leia lying on her bed at the start of the clip can be a tear jerker. Basically until Luke saved her, Leia lost everything. Her home planet Alderaan was destroyed. Her family killed. And following that, she resigned to the fact her hopes of saving the Rebellion and Galaxy were shattered. And if it weren't for Luke showing up, Leia would had sadly accepted her fate on execution as she had nothing to live for.
Leia's reaction to Luke's mentioning Ben Kenobi hits a LOT differently after seeing the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" series since he literally introduces himself as "Ben Kenobi" when he meets up with her. Whoever put THAT in the "Kenobi" series script just fixed a continuity error.
