Omg my God I should totally do that sticker thing 😂😂😂😂😂😂 turbo I think might've stemmed from my cam spool valve issue.. I don't blame them. Car was a bit off but I just didn't think it through

I'm at about 400bhp.. stage 2 ECU/TCU.. on hard launch.. takes off great 1.7-1.9 60ft.. then sometimes there is a hesitation on gear change.. lose boost.. feels weird.. other times it hooks mental 3.7 0-60. Any ideas? It feels like a fuel issue or a dsg issue..

Stock system capped at 28psi. 4 bar gets you to 32 and 5 to like 48ish I think

Depends on the turbo, boost is relevant to turbo size but I've seen mid to high 30s on hybrids stock block and last a longggg time. Just gotta keep the torque in the low 400s

@@BryceJordanProductions don’t take this personal, but of course it’s fine with a brand new turbo. You’ve yet to put hard mailed on it. People like EQT because they’re great at marketing, but their products are not the best as people think they are. Some like EQT because he helps them out with replacements. Others such as myself have had bad run-ins with him. You’re pretty optimistic of their turbos even after blowing 2 of them with very little miles on them. It’s your car. I’m not trying to tell you or convince you of anything, but I’m just following the facts here...

He has had quite a bit of problems with the more he’s modded it. I’m not sure why his EQT turbos keep failing, while other users don’t, but it just shows the poor quality control that EQT uses.

@@JacesOwnWorld Because Bryce pushes the crap out of his car, literally even. He's probably the only guy who's found any weakness in the stock 6MT. And when you take a bearing system designed for reliable operation at 22 PSI with 300 lbs/min of air running through it, double the airflow, and run 35 PSI, with a mismatched turbine and compressor pairing, that bearing system becomes crap very quickly, and it is going to fail. Every hybrid turbo for this platform is extremely fragile, and I imagine most other platforms are similar. Bryce, get a ball bearing turbo. Just stop messing around and get a swirl adapter so you can put a G25 or 7670 on it.

@@BryceJordanProductions bro, I’m not spreading hate. I’ve had countless EQT employees contacting me trying to start something, and I never responded. I’m just stating what I see and what I’ve experienced. Just because some people don’t like certain products doesn’t mean they’re “spreading” hate. I know 100% for a fact that you have at one point in your life, had a bad experience with someone, and you have talked about it. That’s all I’m doing. I don’t know why if anyone ever says a single bad thing about EQT, that people get their panties all wet. Just weird to me, knowing that I’ve talked with dozens of other people who haven’t had good experiences with their products. When someone talks about Frank Mabo in a bad way , who is my tuner, I just say okay, and move on. Not everyone is always going to like products bro. That’s all I’m saying.

@@JacesOwnWorld ​There are a LOT of people who have had issues with Frank Mabo, and unlike EQT I've seen him pass the blame off to the customer instead of showing some accountability and helping them out with repair/replacement. Furthermore, Bryce knew what he was getting into when he agreed to test a beta turbo for them, and the fact that they even have beta turbos out there being pushed to their limits shows that they care about bringing a polished product to market with all kinks and possible issues worked out beforehand, verified through stress testing in extreme applications. Even so, I can understand why this experience might leave a bad taste in Bryce's mouth considering the sheer amount of time and money invested into this build so far. From everything I've seen and experienced, Ed is a standup guy and helps people out even when it's potentially partially their fault. I know someone who got a huge discount on his replacement turbo when his XL blew up due to a multitude of different factors that cannot be attributed to EQT. Sure, when you outsource production overseas, there can be quality control issues and unexpected shortcomings, but there are a lot of people who run EQT turbos and the majority of them run phenomenally, making solid power with good driving dynamics and no issues. This is just my $0.02, not pointing fingers at anybody, but it is physically impossible as an aftermarket parts supplier and tuner to make every single customer happy. I have seen more satisfied customers with EQT than any other tuner/vendor out there, and I have been on the platform for roughly 4 years now.
