Both gorgeous cars and for different tastes. Its no competition for me but the original M2 i own with a tune DP and IC.

M2 definitely as people who buy a merc for the badge. The a class interior quality doesn't live up to merc standards

Only just come across the channel nice review, great minds think alike I had the 14 plate A45 exact same colour etc as yours minus leather seats I ran the Renntech remap to 414 was great, time ticked by I swapped a bit just handed back my 1 year old X3MC and I lasted 3 weeks without a car, I’ve just today pulled the trigger on the M2C pick up next week. I had all bmws for the last couple years. Then I got an A45 in December and tbh since then I've been looking for 2nd hand M4 with the specs I want cos I find the A45 extremely boring. It's fast in a straight line. Launch control is super fun as well with that rally like noise. And running thru mountains at stupid fast speeds with that AWD control. However that being said I keep switching cars with my friends with bmws cos besides the above mentioned things its not fun to me as someone who enjoys sideways activities. Which I know 😂 I should've realised that when I decided to buy a AWD car 😁 but alas. Great video mate. After a couple test drives of the old M2 and the M2C I'm leaning towards the M2C now if I can get one for a nice price 😊

The car you had featured the optional bigger brakes and I heard that its heavier than the standard 'smaller' ones. So I was wondering if you felt a difference in handling compared to the standard brakes that Joe Achilles's M2C had? Thanks

I had a 2011 C-63 and whilst it was an enjoyable car the list of things that failed is longer than your arm. Bought an M2C and love it.

Brilliant video Stef mate. Yep. Tough choices there. But I'm buying used, so even though I own a BMW I'm intrigued by the A45 as a car. They are supposed to be very reliable as long as the service history is good. It's that or a used M140i for me mate. 😁

I had an A45 Brabus with 400hp en decat. Loud and very fast! Also a lot of pops and bangs and very grippy. I trade it for an M2 LCI. The M2 is more dangerous and slippery, but so much more fun. I have a very loud Akra decat exhaust system. Even the A45 sounded good, the M2 sounds so much better and very very very loud! The A45 is more a daily ride even it’s hard. The M2 is more racy and the shifts are also a lot faster! Sometimes I miss the A45, like when it’s rains, but every time I start the engine, i totally forget the A45. I drove but on Nurburgring. The A45 had some oversteer. Especially in the corners when you riding down the “hils”. The M2 had a lot better handling and steering in the corners. I like the M2 more because: - the sound is better and louder - the steering is beter en faster - the shifts are much faster - the grip is better in the corners

I own both cars, m2 competition is a blast. How I would describe them, A45 is Tracy Chapman and M2 is Tina Turner. 😎

What do you think about if you compare Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and the m2c. I know there are not competitors but I would like to ask your opinion for that. Thanks

M2 from ur view sounds shit like it’s struggling, personal preference a45 In looks and interior is way better no disputes, for me in Bristol a45 would be perfect 👌🏽

I agree with you 1 000 000 000 % I’ll go for the M2 Comp but its so difficult bcz they both amazing cars my brother in-law has an A45 and my dad has a M1 sport , never seen n m2 comp but i love it to infinity and beyond!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

the a45 you can get your family and the dog in the boot, the m2c not so pratical but the m2c is the car of the moment:-) im looking to change to the a45 later this year but i got the family and dog thing cheers steve:-)

Not a massive game changer but not keen on the m2 exhaust. You can see the huge back box sticking out underneath.

No doubt, the M2 comp for me, I like the look, drivetrain and the whole M car history. Nice content as usual with fantastic cinematography.

M2C for sure. Different cars 100% but the M2C is one of the best M cars in the last 10+ years with a great motor, chassis, and handling. If you need the AWD for weather, I get it, otherwise M2C

How is this even a comparison??? The BMW M2C is a rock star. It’s in another league on so many levels . Compare the MB AMG to the Golf GTI as it’s a better class comparison.

For me it would be the mercedes, and the one and only reason is, here in my shithole coutry (belgium) a 6 cilinder engine is way too expensive, much much more taxation on that engine.

Stef I don't even need to watch the video or drive them to tell you the M2C is the better car!!! The A45 is a hideous little car!! I will watch the video later though and I'm sure your conclusion will be M2C is the better car!

m2 comp is roughly 10k more at base price. not a fair comparison. go rs3 vs m2 comp for fair pricing. as far as driving fun, M2 comp. And also the fake cabin sound of the M2 does it some favours inside but outside the A45 sounds better. but the a45 is not in the same league I'm afraid , the m2 is a big step ahead but I doubt it will be better than the new a45 when they eventually release it

Bmw launched m2 competition just before next generation of m3 m4 come to the market, it’s too late !

if you look inside Amg 2021 then you don't do more show with M2, even rs3 looks more hi tech and better design !! sorry ...

the A45 originally is based on a FWD platform with transversely mounted engines. to me the A45 looks like a small van like the bmw 2er active tourer. you can't compare the M2 with the A45. the M2 has a lovely straight six out of the M4 and the whole undercarriage is based on the M4. i would always go for the M2, the A45 is to me like a VW Golf with a mercedes badge
