I’m so happy with what I was able to book with the Boundless 5 free 50k nights. The new Moxy in Banff, a really nice Residence Inn in Big Sky, MT and the Dorian in Calgary during the Calgary Stampede. All were 47-50k/night.
@@20minutetravel this will be my first Moxy stay. Looks like they did a good job with the renovation of an old motor lodge. It’s got a mid century retro ski vibe.
Yeah I agree. Their internal data must say that it is working but like Mark said they are also getting a ton of these coupons cheap or free as marketing for partner companies. Very frustrating as a customer at this point.
American Airlines actually tried to blame the kid is disgusting. It's almost like they're trying to defend that employee. The parents should take some legal action.
It was a lawyer who did their best to help their client without thinking about what it meant. I agree it was terrible, but I’m glad AA responded quickly and they have now fired the law firm as well.
I'm assuming the fact that your trip was last minute would be how you found 3 ANA business class seats, right? Since those are impossible to get in my experience unless you make it a full time job.
Yeah JAL and ANA have been good about last minute space so I have been waiting for it but generally you can get ANA awards when they release them on the schedule. That said I think ANA has been stingy even then so 3 might be hard to find. JAL seems to be much better about it.
If I pay for the tickets I should get the seats, no matter if anyone's butt is sitting in it. Just because airlines are allowed to sell more seats than they have (which ought to be illegal), that should not allow them to give away something I paid for to someone else.
Can you tell me how you were able to book the one way ANA award ticket from Honolulu to Tokyo? When I tried to look up the same flight on the ANA website, a message pops up stating that I can not book one way flights using ANA rewards.
I got the 50K checking offer a couple years ago. I left the account open even though I don't really ever use it. Think I should cancel and hope for an offer later down the line?
I did the same and have left it open. I think the bonus is once per lifetime but that doesn’t mean they won’t ever send out offers to come back. We probably both should close ours. I could see some leaving it open to cash out but I have Schwab so don’t need it. I’ve just been lazy.
Only travel eraser points like the Cap One Venture at one cent per point. There may be some Airbnb like house / condos for rent in some bank portals too.
I appreciate what you do and the one thing I regret not saying is that I appreciate the hard work of flight attendants. I fly a lot and I’ve seen some crazy abuses of power though (again so many great FAs in the world) and the crew backing up the FA when every passenger is saying they are lying. Stuff like that. I shouldn’t have generalized and apologize about that but are you saying FAs never abuse their power or talk down to customers who don’t deserve it? I’ve seen it so many times. Again tons of respect for what you do and I appreciate that it isn’t an easy job and that you really are there for our safety and I appreciate that. I just wish there was more of a focus on getting rid of the bad eggs.
