I just want to say me and my friends appreciate what you do as a company. We are all in our early 20s, I my self am the first in my family to exercise my 2nd amendment right. And your company has made it possible to afford everything. I recently bought my 10.5 upper and sighted it in with the 62gr saber black tip. Thank you for doing what you do
@@E46_wagonlover Bear Creek is no different. I can't get into specifics because of a NDA. Let's just say that there's a reason why there are high failure rates on PSA and BCA products.
I love your company, and what it stands for. The fact you guys are doing ammo is a massive blessing, thank you. Doing it right and keeping it affordable.
Thank you for making all these calibers at modest prices based on present market. The sky rocketing prices of ammo have really affected many of us gun enthusiasts. Now you have provided a viable avenue to continue to enjoy our passion.
I’ll just add that there are already a ton of 110gr VMAX 300 Blk gel test videos. It’s an excellent round, including for self defense. I appreciate that they added some other rounds for which there aren’t nearly as many videos/reviews (for whatever reason). I especially appreciate the 115gr Sierra JHP 300 Blk round!
Very impressive performance from all the rifle platforms. Our forefathers would be proud at your notion to keep the people armed and free. Sic semper tyrannis.
.300 BLK 110g + 150g SABRE from an 8.5" barrel, and 5.56 55g FMJ + SABRE from 11.5" barrel. I feel these are more common barrel lengths for these types of ammo
Good video!(even better when its muted) 😁 Thank you guys for doing what you do. I was a last minute customer in your Summerville store last night and wanted to compliment the staff for doing such a good job. For what its worth, thats an outstanding crew...hell of a lot better than the music on this video anyway😂🤣 thanks again
I wouldn't have a 300 Blackout build if it wasn't for you guys and your great pricing thank you so much can we see the gel on the 110 grain black tip 300 Blackout ammo
We need AAC to get into the 8.6 Blackout game ASAP. Pls and thank you! If yall can put out a couple 8.6 offerings that are as competitively priced as your 6.5 creedmoor offerings, I will weap tears of joy. **edit** also if you guys could do a v-max or varmegeddon style 90-95 gr 6.5 creed cartridge id buy the hell out of it for coyotes.
I'm very impressed of all the ammo made by u guys for the people, however it's come to my attention that one of the new calibers that our military is upgrading to; is the "6ARC" and I seriously hope u guys make the new round very available for the people as well. Thank u very much for everything u guys have been doing. God bless.
6ARC is a niche cartridge. The military isnt upgrading to 6 ARC either. One unit in SOCOM is trying it out. They already fielded the 6.5 Creedmoor and love it - Hence the contract MRGG (mid-range gas gun) that Geissele won, which is a Geissele AR-10 Super Duty with LOTS of upgrades, chambered in 6.5CM. 6 Arc is a long range cartridge that is very finicky and doesnt like being suppressed, guns act up when you do. Hard to tune right for both Suppressed and Naked. 6.8x51 is the new cartridge the Army is trying to field, with all of its 85,000 PSI, which is silly. Its basically a 270 Winchester but in 6.5 Creedmoor brass instead of 30-06 long action brass. With the bi-metal hybrid cases, they probably have some of the same kintetic energy as a 270 Winchester. It kicks hard, like a 308, too. I think it's a step back. 6.5Creedmoor is perfect, and the 6mm MAX has more protentional for the military
Loving all the new ammo Palmetto is putting out and I'm glad the BC is listed for most of the SBBT ammo. But, PLEASE....PLEASE list in the information which length barrel is used to get velocity numbers. A lot of us hunt with the ammo, others shoot long distance and accurate velocity and BC numbers are vital for using a ballistics calculator. Keep churning it out. And maybe add 120 grain Sabre Blade Black tip 6.8 SPC and some 300 Ham'r with a 125 or 130 grain soft point.
@@PalmettoStateArmoryVideos Super, thank you for the reply. Oh, one other thing, maybe make some 7.62x39 SBBT with brass cases, I don't use steel in my hunting AR rifles and pistols'
Appreciate the testing, but i recommend slowing the video down, discussing the results and your findings on penetration, expansion, fragmentation , etc. That was a lot of calibers and loadings to cover in only a 5 minute video. Maybe put two blocks end to end to try to capture the deep penetrators.
Looks like I’ll be picking up some 75gr Saber to try out. I was underwhelmed with the 125 Saber 300BO on that gel, guess I was expecting more energy transfer.
Looking forward to 545. Consider doing 6mm max. It solves all the problems 6 arc has in AR-15. 6max just needs affordable ammo. Buy a barrel and some duranag mags and you're set. Same bcg.
@@bedngrs yeah if you want hot 6mm rounds for bolt action, then go 6arc. If you want something easy and no new expensive bcg, then 6 max. Way better than 556. Probably less than 6arc. But over 100 for arc mags and 3400 for a geisselle. Get me affordable 6max ammo and I have self defense, hunting, and fun. And standard parts. I don't want to pay more for rifles than necessary.
@@markreynolds6715 look, all I’m saying is 6 arc/6 max is apples and oranges. 6 max is a lot closer to 5.56 in 77gr than anything else 6arc is more comparable to 6.5 Grendel But… almost everything you stated is pretty exaggerated - 6 max breaks bolts in exactly the same way as 6 arc, neither use standard 5.56 bolts - Both 6 max and 6 arc cost the same in parts to upgrade, and both require specific magazines for them which are readily available and affordable - Geiselle is always crazy expensive, even in 5.56 - 6 arc is specifically designed for the AR15, and actually a bit slow. The heavy aerodynamic 108gr bullets make up for the speed. A bolt gun would use a 6mm Creedmoor or 6BR - 6 max cannot take the large aerodynamic projectiles in 6mm. So a heavy aerodynamic bullet in 22 can outperform it at certain distances - 6.5 Grendel outperforms 6 max in aerodynamics and energy, has reasonable cheap ammo, and cheap parts I don’t know what has you all excited about 6 max, which is fine, but it’s never going to grow to be a thing as it doesn’t offer anything worth the impedance of switching
@@bedngrs it takes a standard 556 bcg. I like simple and strong. Everything is a compromise. But if my life is on the line l trust normal bolts and less expensive bolts. I haven't heard of any breakage on 6max. Whereas from people who run 6arc hard they've reported breaking bolts. 6arc seems like they're shoe horning it into an AR-15. 6max seems like it just barely fits in ar15 size rifles. We probably just disagree on the philosophy of use. 6arc needs a cmmg47 receiver. Which they should have done from the beginning
@@markreynolds6715 not throwing shade, but your showing that you just haven’t shot that much. Standard 556 bolts break all the time. Folks carry a spare bolt for range day as standard practice. SOLGW made their name on better bolts for 556, and they are the ones backing 6 max. Great company, but biased marketing. You haven’t heard about failing 6 max bolts because it’s so new, backed by a higher end bolt manufacturer, not because it’s significantly better design. They fail the same as any 556, more actually since you’re putting more powder into the same area. You really need a different bolt for the 6 max. SOLGW bolts aren’t exactly cheap(and they make a great 6 arc bolt too) If you get cheap guns, you should pack spares. If you cannot accept failures, you’re looking at high end. That’s just the facts of life 6.5 Grendel pioneered the bolt issues for 6 arc over a decade ago, all the qualities good and bad are known at this point. You can expect reliability if you want it, or go cheap if you that’s your game If you want best bang for your buck quality, you cannot touch 223 with a 76gr or even 88 gr projectiles. This idea that you can build a fighting grade reliable 6 max hot rod for cheap is all hype
Need to have a side view camera with slower motion than was shown here. Also should have a "heavy clothing barrier" imo. Hollow points/expanding ammo does different stuff when there is a clothing barrier.
Thanks, keep in stock and will buy. Thought them bullets look familiar from recent purchases... Oh and the PSA builds likey too, then there is the Ruger Precision, the performance and price per round is keeping me away from the Reloader.
Thanks for the video. I was looking for 300blk saber black tip ballistics but couldn’t find any until today. Would like to see the bullet and get numbers like expansion and penetration. Good defensive subsonic 300blk is hard to find.
@@PalmettoStateArmoryVideos is there any way for you to tell us which hornady bullet is being used in the soft point and black tip .308? Or what it's similar to in the hornady lineup? I want to buy some but want to know how they perform in gel before hunting with them
@@PalmettoStateArmoryVideos Thanks! You guys have a lot of tempting offerings, and I want to know which one works best for me. I really like the idea of buying one type of round for roughly $.60 and having it be both training and duty. That way, I just know my system even better!
Dang definitely need the 77 otm next time and PLEASE next time get rid of the BUBBLES! Haha thanks though guys your awesome as always...oh and bring a ratchet strap next time please
would like to see a ballistic gel test for all rounds, as well as chronograph readings for science. would also like to see AAC556tmk1-20, AAC556smk1-20, .357 fmj and xtp, 10mm fmj and xtp, and maybe even some of that shortly ran 45 lc. Huge fan of the company!
I'd be interested in seeing some shorter barrel length testing. 7.5" 5.56 tested with 75 and 77 grain. 5.5" or 6" .300 BLK tested with 110. 12.5" .308 150 black tip and 12.5" 6.5 Grendel black tip tested as well.
only difference is a smidge more speed...very tiny difference when I was comparing AAC 70gr TSX to Barne's 70gr TSX. Same with the 77gr TMK....These are REALLY good prices, and no, I don't work for PSA or AAC.
@@keithcrandall1369 compare it to a real defense ammo. Barnes tsx isn't what I would consider a premium ammo either. Try for Scott TUI, LTech 5.56, Black hills, and so on. You will see a difference in gel, not just speed
I see lots of gel, but I don't see too much of the AAC (particularly interested in the saber black) actually hunting deer or hogs. Wonder if you could work some of that into your lineup?
I’d like to see the 75gr hpbt. Tired of the yotes bothering my flock and my big dogs having to take care of business at 3:41am. Took my lead into the vet yesterday. Black mouth curs and a couple pitweilers with a red nose did what they were supposed to do but lead girl took a little damage til her dump truck brother… I have it all on camera. I need these 75gr hpbt to do the job. The 77gr OTM are so inconsistent. Norma 308 white tail is a bit much for yotes
I'd like to know how far things penetrated, especially with many rounds leaving the block. Seemed like those that didn't over penetrate fragmented heavily. The handgun rounds looked like they did not expand properly. I appreciate you showing these, but I don't think they are for me. However, when you start selling primers or brass, count me in.
Can yall have a couple of your engineers spend a lunch break looking at the idea of a 5.7 blackout round? Same width brass, but much thicker projectile which shouldn't need such a long barrel as the Rock 5.7, while retaining the extra capacity advantage. It would make the Rock Compact idea a lot more viable as a concealed carry option. Just think of a P365 XL sized gun with 18 or 20 round capacity, kind of like the 30 super idea, but with the 5.7 brass and a heavier projectile like a 77gr 556 round.
Couldn't tell much as everything was a complete pass through. Would be nice to slow this down a bit and break this series down by caliber. Place 2 blocks end to end and try to capture bullets so we can see better how they performed. The .45 & 9mm rounds did not appear to expand at all, thus defeating the point of being hollow points.
