I live in north central Idaho and am disabled.I have to specialize my kit for back country elk to my ability. The 8.6 was designed to run accurate at distance with short barrel.A 6 inch barrel folding bolt gun i can wear on my chest with without being unweildy is a game changer for me.....hope these do what i figure
I'm really curious what disability and back-country elk hunting looks like. You should make a utube video. Most Americans are in too poor of health (self imposed disability) to backcountry ... anything. Being off trail is incredibly hard.
i couldn't laugh at it now, but goddamn i wanted to, i held that laugh harder than i held my shit at school as a kid, i'll start calling charles "The Oyster Man" because in every episode he's in he spits out a pearl like this one
Am I missing someone: Garand Thumb, Paul H.,Demo Ranch, Kentucky B., Hickok 45, Brandon AK Guy, Donut, and Taofledermaus. These are the bricks and mortar to my shithouse that I watch on RU-vid. 🤘😎
@@deangullberry5148Except that the Air Force didn't just release a photo of one of their rifles with the scope on backwards and the handrail hanging out of the delta ring. Like the Navy did.
Oh man, I'm jealous. I still haven't finished my 12.5" Faxon 8.6 BO build. I've got some Gorilla 285gr Fracturing Subsonic ammo, and have been waiting to see how they perform. Thanks for the great video !
Pretty sure they don't do retakes that's just his intrusive thoughts raw and their actual responses unless you mean things getting pulled for spice levels.
I crashed a Moms demand action event at a bar, and I can confirm they are as big as water buffalo, they're as thirsty as one too when they're at a bar.
I love those rifles from Q. I want one myself. I love that Kevin increased the amount of rotation the barrel gives. Which is what you guys see in the gel with the twisting through it. Also I used the information to write a paper while i was in SDI for gunsmithing lol
When I owned my gun shop we were direct dealers for Fort Scott Ammunition. That stuff is pure beauty. And, it performs as well as it looks. Machined projectiles.... oooooof.
I don't believe that I laughed harder at any other episode! Thank you gentlemen. My wife walked into the room just before the head shot. I laughed so hard at her reaction!
It's very interesting how some of these cartidges resemble extremely old full rifle cartridges that had a very LONG projectile and rounded nose. I don't know enough to know what the twist rates were for those old guns but I cannot imagine they are as tight as 8.7BLK. Fun to see how some older concepts mixed with new tech and modern manufacturing are becoming cutting edge
When NASA tested and confirmed success at changing an asteroid's orbit by ramming a satellite with it, someone said we really are THAT good at throwing things. And the BLK is just another proof of that. Missiles, lasers, electronic CCs, but at the end of the day our best weapons will always be guns.
it makes sense for subsonics to be round nose. Makes the bullet heavier for the length, doesn't really need long range capability as much and is generally better at imparting energy into a target.
Hey Mike, I’ve been watching your content for since 2019. You may not know it but your content has had a big impact on me and helped me find my calling an my country’s armed forces. Even though you don’t do as many of the army inside jokes, quips, and stand in front of a black background anymore, me and the boys still love the content every week. Keep it up man
It's fun and I have yet to have someone dislike shooting it. It just gets expensive to shoot if you don't reload it. It can be anywhere from $50-90 for a box of 20, depending on the shipping and what load you go with. It's as easy as doing a 300blk swap for an ar15 just need the barrel and gas block then it's a straight swap for a AR308/LR308, everything else is the same even my bolt is for a .308
@davidrigli9082 I wrote it down. I have a few years before I have to have that chat with my daughter. Right now her language is some elvish mixed with drool dialect.
@Tomemos1Jager honestly, some of the things he says have to be explained just from a comedic stand point, but, he doesn't really say anything much worse than her father.
I’ve been an off and on watcher of the channel over the last few years and never really noticed Charles’ comedy but he really took it to 11 in this one. Had me laughing the whole time and had to rewind multiple times for the actual info in the video.
This is the perfect round to do some slow mo camera videos on. If only there were some slow mo guys or maybe people who do ballistic testing with high speed cameras.
