Im sorry my friend, but nothing can ever be compared to God, as there is nothing like unto him, the teacher is the guide to reach God. Replacing nizamuddin's name to you maybe ok, but i can promise you Amir Khusro was a muslim. To understand true sufism and true spirituality, there must first be the basis of sharia, which is religious rules, its sharia (basic rules of religion), tariqa (path), haqiqat (reality), and then ma'rifah (understanding/gnosis) Sufism can not be truly understood at a surface level, it is rooted in religion, it itself is the essence of islam. Today, sufism has become diluted with all this multi-religious idea that u can attain real spirituality without islam, as that is the root.

bskulldragon100 u dont need islam to reach real spirituality. people hav been practicing advocating and experiencing spiritualuty - which is stepping away from this world n its constrictions - for ages, even before islam came into existence. your narrow view and adherence to one form of organised religion can please only you n others like you. besides neither you nor i know khusro personally so why discuss what was in his mind. i only praised what he wrote because his writings are drenched in love. one can feel such love for god, one's own idea of god, for a person or a philosophy. sufism may or may not hav started to spread islam but it has certainly come to mean pure spirituality for most people in india. india already has a history of tolerence n respect for mystics, sanyasi and sufis and anyone who moves only on d path of spirituality. meera was not a muslim but her abandon and love for god is same as a sufi's. so even though it may hurt u to see people use sufi songs or techniques without adhering to islam, please understand that the history of indian culture shared by all religious communities here promotes breaking boundaries of religion n encouraging spirituality which is common in all.

being a "half" Sufi as I say through my ustads and listing to qawwali and all it really brought me into Sufiezm but going through the real muslim life and learning the Sufi life what I have learnt is that one hart connect to the others to bring joy into the ones mind.
