The fact is that BCCI has failed to identify and nurture players as replacement for Sehwag, Gambhir, Ganguly, Laxman, Raina , Yuvraj, Kumble etc. Appointing Dravid as the coach was the biggest blunder. Vikram Rathore, Paras Mambhrey etc are below average players. Making them coaches is criminal mistake. BCCI bowed to Virat Kohli by sacking Kumble. It sowed the indiscipline. Kohli ran riot and destroyed the team.Rohit is the most unfit player now. Give great importance to Ranji, Duleep and Irani trophy. These tournament shapes the mental toughness, stamina and strength to play 5 day test. Kohli. Rohit etc do not play domestic tournament and hence their weakness is hidden.

I think this is the high time to give chances to the tel enders especially those who have already showen enough potentiality. In spite of having so many fresh bloods why are we running after performers of past!!!

I think one of the main problem was the tight schedule between IPL and WTC. India had very less time (only 5 to 6 days) to regroup ang get prepared for WTC. Players were tired after a long IPL season. They didn’t get enough time to start fresh for WTC preparation. There are a huge difference between IPL and WTC in terms of game set. Players are not machine. BCCI should have been paid special attention to this matter earlier.

Players should remember that they play for country not just for the brands they endorse

Agar try hi karna h final me toh ussey Karo na Jo match khel kr aa re h 3. Shots played by pujara in both the innings was not even played by pujara in the last two years.. The slowest strike rate batsman try to play T20 shot in the Big final... Lack of responsibility.. why?? 4. If Rohit is not performing from the last 2 years then why Rohit captaining in all formats whereas he is not even capable of playing in the XI.. why not trying Ruturaj Gaikwad or Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Shubman Gill... Why? 5. Why Whole players won't come together for the practice before the big matches??? 6. I want stress out one thing here. In last few years whenever we played test outside sub continent how may times we have scored 500+ runs. If you take out the wins you will see that lower order batters have contributed. On a contrary our bowlers did well. The point I want make here is until and unless our top 5 doesn't get runs it will be too much burden for blowers to get 20 weekets. There was a time when sachin, shewag, vvs, rahul and dada were in the team opposition team had really Tuff time to rattle that line up. But now in last 10 year it is just about creating hypes.

Both Captain and management will have to seriously analyze the gap for these world series. Every time they cannot get away with discussion on forms of the players in previous series who did not play well in current series/match. BCCI needs to rethink on the player selection and pick some strong youngsters who can deliver consistently. We lack good left hand pacers after Zaheer and Irfan. No offence but stubbornness of captain and coach needs some treatment.

Biggest fault is less time for preparation for wtc final... Only 1 week of time and almost all players are playing in IPL, see Australia squad except Warner all players not played IPL, gave priority to country pride... It's not our players fault, it's our cricket board fault who make these shedule and put icc event on stake.

The reasons for India to loose in big events of icc is the carelessness..they should follow the same path how MSD used to do i.e giving chance to new talent and training the team 2 years prior before competing for big matches or choosing the best player from new as well as current team as per their performance.. making plans to run the matches..this is the thing where Rohit Sharma and Rahul dravid is lacking..just backing some current players without performance will not help to compete in these big events..just check out the players give train them at least prior before big events..
