My grand father flew 37 missions over Berlin as a B-17 pilot in WWII. He died ironically on June 6 1997. I wish he heard this song. I think he'd like it. He always told me that this country was worth fighting for. Some how I still believe this till this day (39).
Holy shit. Mine flew 37 missions over Berlin in a B-17... on his 37th, he and one other pilot returned. He crashed in Belgium. He always was so proud of the fact that he was the “baddest motherfucker in the air”. He died in 93 before I was born, and that country boy from Morgantown, WV would be damn proud to hear this song
Problem is, your father was on the bad guys team in that war, bombing Berlin means he was killing innocent civilians, women and children, he might have firebombed Dresden too. You do realize USA has been the bad guy for 100 years, right? Or do you believe Vietnam deserved to be attacked, that it was a good thing, or Iraq, or Libya, or Serbia, or Syria, or Afghanistan etc? Do you really believe they hate us for our freedoms, or have you been redpilled and realized that for a hundred years we’ve been fighting hugely expensive wars for causes that have nothing to do with us, that may in fact be against our interests to fight, and that we’re hated because of the wars, not the other way around.
toobalkain “...bombing Berlin means he was killing innocent civilians...” Have you ever heard of the Holocaust? A few possible civilian casualties by bombing an active war zone is nothing compared to the systematic extermination of entire demographics of innocent people.
I appreciate his passion as I have always appreciated his music. My father was a WW2 vet who raised me to think this way, but - the U.S. is not that country any more, it has evolved into the den of thieves. God bless America, and God damn the majority of sociopaths who have taken control of it.
This song is always great - one of my faves, however, the Pledge of Allegiance is my favorite part of this video. Notice how it's a pledge to the flag and not an individual person or party. Way to go Aaron!
I was at this show with my wife in Lake Tahoe and Aaron Lewis always sings like no other person I have ever heard, big fan. One big problem with the show. the people that were there were so rude screaming fuck ya, sing this, sing that, that even Aaron Lewis was getting sick of it. You people in Tahoe have no class at all and you look like you just stepped out of the trailer. There was this girl in front of us talking to her friends the whole time acting like she knew Aaron Lewis personally. NOT
He's a rocket, but gotta give him upmost cred, he sings better live than on albums, so credit Sue, he's had to deal with allternative radio radio stations gone, been listening to Staind and country almost over 15 yrs, just wants to sing any way possible, called survival.
my Grandpa served in the US ARMY WWII and God rest his soul, is buried in ARLINGTON Va. My Daddy 82nd Airborne US Army jumpmaster. my brother served in the US COAST GUARD. Me ? US ARMY 82nd AIRBORNE 173rd (the herd) LRRP. red, white&blue these colors don't run
Little fast for George Jones there Aaron lol But SO MUCH RESPECT for you getting George Jones into one of your songs I can't even listen without a smoking a rolled cigarette and some Tennessee Whiskey you're a great all around musician and VERY UNIQUE for the times I don't know another artist who can sit down with A guitar and play George to Staind to... Aaron.. If only more people reconigezed the sole talent in their voice Music would still be.. Music (In my ears) maybe just maybe if half the artists today would drop all the effects/(Lies) of their voice they would either find out how real music can be or... Then simply ARE NOT cut out for the music business!! Put it this way if you can't play your music When the power goes out.. YOU Can't PLAY MUSIC!!
I grew up in van Zandt Washington in the foothills of the cascade mountains...my grandpa was a drinker...I rarely drink from the bottle but ill smoke a little weed... I still live in the sticks where you wouldnt go.. In a town of 1500 off an old dirt road.. A country boy is all Ill ever be
My father (whom I never knew) was a W2 or W3, I myself was a E6 and the first female in 15 years in my unit to become a DC! Yes I have pride for myself and my shipmates (brother and sisters) in all branches. I have to admit I saw (better to say *didn't see) a lot, lost respect in our government. As he sings here I nor does anyone NEED the Government to hold MY hand!!! Yes I to am strong in my beliefs and love this country Im blessed to live in, but deep down is it really worth the cost?!
"..One is the colors that fly high and proud The red, the white and blue The other ones got a rattlesnake with a simple statement made 'Don't tread on me' is what it says and I'll take that to my grave"
the man is pure genuine!!! Speak, live and sing from your heart and stick to your beliefs!!! God bless the United States and may god bless our brave troops!!!
"Now two flags fly above my land that really sum up how I feel One is the colors that fly high and proud The red, the white and blue The other ones got a rattlesnake with a simple statement made 'Don't tread on me' is what it says and I'll take that to my grave"
Cool that Aaron signed with Stroudavarious Records (R&J Records), a independent music label to put this song out that has a deep meaning in the lyrics about the music industry and I guess you would say his "thoughts" on agendas in our country..guess he had to so he wouldnt become a member of the 25 club cause "they"(Illuminati) own all the major record labels..The beginning of this version is awesome, just wish he would do like he usually does before he sings it and says "This is a true story"
.... it don't get any better then this. when you play better live then in studio, you have real talent unlike what that beiber shit is. idk if i even spelled it right. God Bless America people, don't forget your roots.
i dont smoke weed ... but i love the song Aaron...............i have alot of family that served..............thnx so much for this song.................
I'll see you in MINNESOTA there's plenty of dirt roads and country boys here!! There's the South and then you have the TRUE North in MN where it is literally the END OF THE ROAD!!
There's not a damn thing sucky about writing and singing your own country songs, which is something that any damn given "country" star in Nashville doesn't know how to do.
