@@user-tj3wr6dj4d i dont like that you out nirvana in front of aic. Nirvana is pretty eh compared to the rest of those guys out of that era. Super popular band, but i think aic, pearl jam, mad season, soundgarden were all far ahead of them.
@@adamezell7650 Well you got to put some thought into that is Your opinion and I have mine. Personally I think That AIL and Nirvana have their own niche and BOTH were good. I do think that Layne was a better singer. Nothing taking away from Kurt. We all have different opions and should respect that .If everyone was the same it would be a BORING complacent World.. I say put on your favorite album and jam out. Enjoy life and music . And to each their own in what they like and dont like .. I like music that makes you FEEL what they FEEL. And all those band make me FEEL their music. I hope it does the same for everyone else.
I'm the same way. I don't know what it is but I'm never fully satisfied with things I've done, I'm always criticizing myself. I could have landed the biggest contract but I always retrace my steps. It is the weirdest feeling, I know I've accomplished something big and I should feel happy. I think it is a lack of serotonin, at least in my case...
@@WhoYouDrewyess. this mixed with a heaping dose of self sabotage (rooted in "not enough'-'gonna mess it up ,anyway' thoughts) ,even after something done well or executed as planned- somehow I could've shouldve done it another way.. restless, questioning.self awareness can be a curse at times.. (on serotonin- theres meds of course.. on em ..helps ,but not on this,"I can't get No satisfaction 🎶 (-with self at least ) hahaha,😐
I been a fan of Aaron since the early days. I used to be a heavy user on a site called staind soulz in the late 90s. To be honest booze and smoke has taken its toll on his vocals. He used to be second to none. Now and days he is still uniquely great but his best days are behind him.
The more I learn about you Aaron the more hope that I have for our society (the music industry) which has been going down like a flamming zeppelin. So glad to see that people like you are speaking out about the things going on today and Not backing down. Thank you for putting yourself out there for the rest of America. GBY AL
Anyone who is gifted enough to play different genres of music is extremely talented and deserves much credit!!! I'm 45yo and have been a fan of Aarons since the very beginning.
Aaron man u have played a big part in getting by with the day to day struggles that I've went through the music u play man it is like I have lived them an thanks for that
I love Staind and absolutely Love Aaron Lewis voice that man has a killer voice!! I so would hang out and listen to him sing!! I will listen to any music he puts out legit he has an amazing voice for either genre ❤️
Hello thanks for your love career.. may God continue to bless you you...send me a private message on my hangout account.( officialaaronlewismusicstaind@gmail.com)
I recently went back and listened to Illusion of Progress. You can definitely tell how based he is from that album, Rainy Day Parade the second verse might as well be a line in Am I the Only One. Already have my tickets to see Staind and Korn this August. Can't wait.
Aaron, thank you for your music. I was 12 when Dysfunction came out. That helped me get through my teen years and my 20's. That album is how I have felt since I was 4. Parents divorcing, social isolation, loneliness, rejection. So, thank you.
I can relate to your story. My parents nver divorced , but i was bullied, i was isolated and rejected from girls and friends. And of course physical problems, social anxiety and depression. Well staind music yes is a medicine !!🙏
When she said 20 year anniversary of break the cycle, that made me feel old. Can't believe it's really been that long ago since that album was released back in 2001. Wow time flies by too damn fast.
If you listen to their first album even, you can absolutely hear that Aaron is coming in with a country feel - especially in later works like “It’s Been A While”, “Home” and “Fade”. An inevitable move in my eyes and it’s beautiful. Much love 💙
Love staind . Love Aaron's country shit. But I realy love his "melting snowflakes" shirt ! Fan for life cause he's that good and fuck liberal snowflakes ! "If I offended you good ! I hope I offended the shit outta you" - Aaron Lewis. My kind of guy
Shit Staind...I really love it when he's so shitfaced he repeats same song twice without realizing it in concert. It's cool when a performer cares so little for a paying audience! Way to go!!!
LOVE Aaron Lewis - we have seen him in his Country Vibe singing at Stampede in Houston, Brazoria County Rodeo and lastly at the 1894 Opera House in Galveston (which acoustics was fab!) We are getting married after 9 yrs together and Tangled Up In You will be one of our songs. He most def was NOT a overnight sensation - I can't imagine how much self sacrifice it took for Him and his bandmates to get to where they are today. Not to mention the sacrifice their families went through to get where they are. Keep on keeping on!
Am I the only someone's angels and whiskey are my new favorites!!! He could sing happy birthday or you are my sunshine! LOL...... Seeing him and them in concert is on my bucket list. Thanks or the interview.
@@Nephilim-81 Queensryche dude. My goodness they made some fantastic music! Their music is always on Loud and Local here on the local rock station since they're from the Seattle area. I don't know what it is man but Seattle was producing some great bands in the 80s and 90s.
Katie did an amazing job in this interview! Luv Aaron but he is not the easiest interview.....she kept it flowing and didn't let it get awkward. She is obviously very knowledgeable and real and at the same time hit all the required talking points!
He could be a good Neegan stand in.. I could see him and Lucille silencing a drunk crowd while he's playing an acoustic set... New album I hope for some heavier songs like Mudshovel.. not a lot but one or two would be nice.
Can't wait til May 8th! I've seen staind live once and Aaron live at an acoustic show once...both amazing. Love staind they are in my all time top 5 bands. Aaron's range and vocals are amazing. Great interview ❤
We are so fortunate that we will see Aaron live in Lubbock soon. A lot of killer new material hitting from some killer local bands also. Tea with Titans new album just hit. Chad Russell of Texas 223 just released his new solo album and in the Studio putting together Texas 223’s new album. So glad this bs is getting behind us so we can get back to Rockin!!!
Uncles would fly me back up the mass every summer to do construction for them as a laborer from 8 years old and then I'd have to fly back at the end of summer and get called a city slicker at school in Sweetwater Tennessee.
Iv seen him a bunch of times at the house of blues Orlando. My sister and i were in the front row, Aaron sent one the his roadies out into the audience to invite us to go hang out with him backstage. We could not believe that happened to us. We had a blast, and he is very funny and a blast to hang out with. We talked for a few hours and then he took my sister and me on his tour bus, that was most remarkable
I play guitar, piano, sing and cello, violin, plus a full time job just too make it. Making music pays me more than my job.peaple at work hear me sing and say why don't you do it professional? Well it takes courage .i find it hard too sing in front of people. I hate people cause they suck.
I ran into him in a parking lot in a small town I live near, guy walks by lights a cigg saw me sitting in my truck window down says what's up one way or another I looked right at him said something, noticed his neck tats and found out after it was him. My cousin told me it was around the time of divorce or something which had to be shitty for him being such a national icon and world star. I believe he was born in raised in a smaller western mass town very close to me. Being a young my before they made it huge my uncle played me their tape which was alot heavier back then and he swore they were going to be huge and obviously he was right. he's department of defense so I guess he could've known more or something lol A real man always stays true to his roots and his values. I have little respect for most stars, but Aaron has earned my respect for many different reasons. He not givin a fck if we respect him or not is chief among them. Considering my cousin Dave and myself hold him in such high reguard he is always invited to stop up either of our houses and land for some brews bud and seeing who's the best shot (although I can't find 30-30 ammo even in AMERICA for fck sake man) Good to see our country has many more like Aaron who sees things much like my family. Our country needs to man up on both sides of the political parties and work together like real men with spines for the benefit of us all. I may not agree with woke snowflakes but coming together an working together with our differences is what makes our country the most powerful and another reason we can do anything. As a conservative myself we must stop current republicans from raping our democracy away from we the people and let Adam Kinzinger rebuild our proud all American GOP. No phony horse shit here man Aaron I know you don't need it but I wish you the best of luck man you deserve it. Keep kickin ass as dominate as you are by being YOURSELF man
He seems a bit like "blah blah blah" when she's asking questions. What I like about him is of course he's an amazing musician, but he's real, he won't fake it. He's obviously gonna be respectful, but outside of that, he keeps it real.
It's good to wonder isn't it? Yet really Aaron Lewis's voice is flawless the man can scream, growl, and sing like an Angel i seriously doubt it gets much better than what we have gotten from the man!!!! I am not disrespecting your comment because who knows if he never smoked or did the things he did we wouldn't be having this discussion
Looked up the tour dates and almost every one of them has been canceled already. Is there a reason why?. I was always a big fan and my fiance is a die-hard Aaron Lewis fan and we would like the opportunity to see him in person but everything is canceled
@Justa nother1 They were originally slated to open up for Disturbed who was celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album "The Sickness". Disturbed actually canceled the tour. Since that happened, Korn and Stained have recently announced they'll be touring together for 28 dates starting in August. I'd rather see Korn over Disturbed anyway, so it works for me. Should be some fun shows
@@Timewaits4no1 thank you. I couldn't really find much info on it. Yes I would choose korn any day over disturbed. I never actually like Disturbed. The band wasn't bad but I didn't care for the singer at all.
@@justanother161 yeah no problem, and same. I never got into Disturbed either, although I know some people love them. The lead singer was just to dramatic. Korn & Stained I can get down with tho, and the ticket prices are reasonable. I'm looking forward to the Philly(Camden) show. Should be a great first concert post covid
my take on country nowadays..... chew tuhbacca chew tuhbacca chew tuhbacca SPIT.. IM OVER IT BUT I WILL ALWAYS listen to Aron and staind because it is awesome.
I totally get what he is saying, I used to write software but once I was done with a big application I was done, I never wanted to maintain it forever I wanted to let someone else do that, create it heck yes, see it over and over again heck no
I had meet n greet tickets to see him in VA tonight. My dog woke me up this morning and couldn't use his hind legs so im sitting here on the bed with my dog "Gibson" watching AL videos. Tickets were 500 over a year ago before covid. Got rescheduled once. Been looking forward to meeting him but my dog is my loyal friend and I wasn't gonna let him wonder where i am when he needed me most. Keep the damn good songs coming brother. America First!!!
I'm so sorry about your pup. I lost my best pal a week ago. 11yrs he was my one constant. House is to quiet and I have 6 others but he was the only one that talked to me. Boxer/ bulldog mix. Please take care of yourself. Stay safe. Peace
Why don't you get somebody a little bit realer to interview you brother, if you had a chance I would give you the most amazing interview just Google my name. I was born in Springfield but raised in Sweetwater Tennessee
This gal deserves an award for this...give her an Oscar or an Emmy or an MTV award or the Heisman or something, she worked haaaaard! Aaron was a rough interview here, acting a bit too too cool for school for my tastes....struck me as playing a character of someone who " just don't give a poo" vs. a genuinely "just don't give a poo" guy.
