Thanks for uploading this, this video deserves a lot more views and attention that it has gotten. Sorkin is sheer genius in screenwriting. The West Wing is probably the greatest American television program ever made.
Could not agree more. My wife and I have been watching the West Wing repeatedly for 15 years. Can't believe how great this interview was. Tremendously rich.
West Wing is my favorite show and Sorkin is a great writer. When Sorkin left the show it went down a bit. Watching this video it is clear he was on drugs. He left the show to go to rehab so I am not saying anything true fans of the show don't know.
This is a common misconception regarding his departure from the show. Sorkin went to rehab in 1995. He was arrested for possession of drugs in 2001, but did not depart the show until 2003, which he did over budgetary differences. According to him he hasn't used cocaine since 2001.
