You're spot on. This song is in Sindhi. It is based on a famous folk story from the Thar desert area in Sindh, called the story of Umar-Marvi. Thar borders Rajasthan so culturally, linguistically and even religiously there are many similarities. There is a sizeable Hindu community there. In addition to Sindhi the people of Thar speak a local dialect called Dhatki that is very similar to Rajasthani language.

Then King forcefully kidnapped her wanted to see her desicion change for him After a Long Time he didn't see any attention or attraction for him From Marvi then He realize She can die But she Will not be part of his Life Hence King release her to her village when she came to her tribe Her people's still waiting For her come back when they saw marvi After that her people's sing these lines For her (Aayi Aayi) and that was the happiest moment for them

Your Observation Is 100% Correct. This song is based on the culture of Sindh, And yes the language is Sindhi, Zulfi, the producer of season 15, mentioned in *The Magical Journey* that the song is inspired by a story he read. In the story, a king forces a girl to marry him, but she fights back and returns to her village. The villagers rejoice upon her return, greeting her with, "Aayi Aayi Aayi Aayi, Dekho Wo Jeet Ke Aayi," which is also included in the song. I'm not sure if you are familiar with *The Magical Journey*, but I thought I'd share a brief summary of the song with you. I loved your reaction! ❤.

The song depicts Sindhi culture or, to be more precise, the culture of Thar (which is obviously related to Marwari/Rajasthani culture). Lots of symbolic references like the 🦚. The storytelling of the song is based around the Sindhi folktale of Marvi-Umar

It's sindhi song based on a folk story of 'Umer and Marvi' (i am from city of Umer by the way🙂). Marvi was abducted by king Umer and was offered all the wealth if she agrees to marry him. Marvi rejected the offer and finally returned to her people victorious. The story shows the resilience of Marvi and love for her people.

Actually it's a song about Bravery of a Woman named Marvi.. We never celebrate women's success in our society via this song they are celebrating the resilience Marvi shown towards the feudal of that time; hence she refused all the offers even offer to be the Queen, she refused and said I'll go back to my people in Bushy Houses.. So they welcome her by saying Aayi Aayi(here she comes). Between the lead vocalist is my younger Brother.. If you need any help regarding the song or cultural descriptions you can lean on to me anytime. Also Noman is my Younger brother so if you wanna have a conversation with him i can help you in this.

You are right. This song is in Sindhi. Other than the main theme of resiliency, chasing your dreams, and empowerment (especially of women), there are a few other underlying things to consider: This song is based on the folklore and legend of Marvi from Sindh. Marvi, the protagonist, is a young Khaskheli girl of the Panhwar tribe abducted by the then-ruler of Amarkot, King Umar Soomro, who wanted to marry her because of her beauty. He promised her queendom and all the lavishness that comes with it, but Marvi refused to comply. She was imprisoned in the Amarkot Fort for several years. Marvi wanted to be back in her homeland with her people. Even in prison, she refused to comply and went on a hunger strike. The king had no choice but to return her. This song is a symbolic interpretation of Marvi's return. You'll notice the song starts with people of the village preparing for their beloved's return. The peacock (symbolizing beauty in Sindh) represents Marvi returning to her village. This coincides with the singing of the Marvi Saiban ladies. Towards the end, the peacock is happy enjoying a simple meal in her home. Finally, another meta observation: I can't help but notice that the last song of season 14 was "Phir Melenge" and the first song this season is "Aayi Aayi" -- kinda genius :)

Sindhi folklore from town of Umarkot (birthplace of Mughal king Akbar). This story is described even in famous Sindhi Sufi Saint poems Shah Abdul Latif Bhattai. Story of Marvi who was taken away by kind Umar because he was mesmerized by her beauty but she was loyal to her love in her village and did not want to become a queen. Eventually she prevailed and the king returned her himself to her village and the people welcomed her with here she comes victorious. Her loyalty, perseverance and lack of greed is celebrated in this story.

The story is about Marvi, who was supposedly a great beauty from Thar. She had an encounter with Umer Soomro, the king of Amarkot. Umer fell in love with her, but she was already betrothed. He abducted her and imprisoned her in the Amarkot fort. He used every tactic, be it greed of becoming a queen and getting rich, intimidation, you name it, but Marvi remained loyal to her people and her betrothed. She remained captive for many years. She stopped taking care of her well being in an attempt to soil her beauty so that Umer would stop desiring her so badly. As a result, she started getting sick and after seeing her resolve, Umer had to eventually let her go. She is considered a victor in Sindhi culture as a King had to bow down to a girl's resolve and her love for her homeland. The peacock in the video symbolizes Marvi coming home and trying simple pleasures of life such as sipping water.
