This is his beating his suicidal thoughts & his rebirth due to his attempt a while back. He lost his girlfriend, Mac Miller & his best friend in December. He felt alone & guilt of him being here but now he realized his purpose. Hope he finds happiness.

Not to mention his best friend in music (RIP Mac Miller) and best friend outside of music (RIP Doeburger) all passed away and it hit him hard. Great writing in just 2 lines.

This has to be the most beautiful Hip/Hop / Rap songs I've heard this year. It evokes emotions both sadness and triumph. Super inspirational message.

Man, a little bit ago I was listening to Ab Soul thinking that it's a shame he never became nowhere near as big as Kendrick. Another person I was listening to thinking the same thing was Jay Electronica. I remember way back I used to always be on top of what they did bc they were some of my favorite rappers. Then they both suddenly faded away.

I loved hearing this song so much. Soul was arguably my favorite rapper back in 2012 and it always hurt that he kinda "fell off". But this shit is beautiful and is some of his best material to date.

Since you got Patreon, i haven't watched any of your stuff there to be honest. But i paid the subscription since you got Patreon, because i'm a big supporter and i love this channel. I work at a gym, and i just constantly listen to the same modern music, usually rap and pop. After you listen to it x amount of times, you realize how much of today's music is sampled. And it gets to a certain point where it's almost irritating. So i just love this, it's sounds different, it's cool and his pen nice and it's not something Biggie or Jay-z wrote 25 years ago Breath of fresh air, this is hope for modern music.
