Sitting off a Major road sit this beautiful Abandoned Mansion! Built-in 1975, this home sits on roughly 50 acres of land and is currently valued at $13,000,00. The home itself is not worth this but the land it sits on is prime for redevelopment! The home seems to have had an extension at some point in its life. It also seems that multiple families were living in this home or multiple generations of the same family were living together. The home features beautiful flooring, doors and even has 2 balconies!
Unfortunately, this home has had quite a rough life since it was abandoned. Flooding in the basement reached about 4 feet deep and caused extreme water and mold damage in the basement sealing the home's fate of being demolished!

Seems like so many of these large homes were designed by amateurs. They’re big and have some nice features, but the room to room flow is just awful.

That was one crazy house! Would have been interesting to see what it used to look like before they added weird walls and stuff to it.

This is set up more like a business property with offices, I think. The layout just doesn't make any sense for a house. It almost looks like a hotel at times when you are looking at the porches/balcony... just not a normal setup.

I drive by this place all the time. 3 or 4 years ago, I believe the old owner was running a construction business on the property. There was a dump trucks and excavating equipment behind the house

The "intercom" was also for playing radio, tapes, or selected music that could be heard in any area around the house with a single intercom that could be turned on and off. Also could be used to communicate from one part of the house today, similar to what we now do with Alexa or Amazon pods in different rooms of our homes today.

Couldn't pay me to live there... Real estate is all about location IMO. The highway is right at the edge of the property. Perfect for commercial or business use, but not for a home. Imagine it was much quieter when they built. Appears to have had a renovation gone terribly wrong. Perhaps trying to convert into multiple family home? The design is really odd to me.

Definitely multiple families or rented out or Air B&B for sure. Saw this house on Ethans' channel when it was in great shape; no decay, no open doors or broken windows, no dead animals, AND no flooded basement! WOW, what a change! Thanks for sharing it! Like going back to visit an old friend, only to find out they are down on their luck! Take care.👍✌😁❤🇺🇸

Beautiful exterior but such strange interior. I wonder if what you said was extension built was just the house being divided up into sections. Didn’t seem like a family home more like a strange duplex.

Looks like a large multi-generational family lived there. Probably started out in the late 1970s with several small children, the parents, grandparents and maybe even some aunts/uncles.

This is my least favourite style of house because of the poor design layout. I would say it was built by the Italian owners and for extended family members. My late Dad was a builder who did a lot of his own work. Being Italian, I would say these families living here were self sufficient and supported each other. There wouldn’t be maid’s quarters. It was functional and a well built home. If kept up, it was built to last. A lot of hard work went into this place and that’s what is so appreciated. The price is for the 20 acres that the home sits on. Noah please close the open windows and doors to prevent other birds getting trapped. Thank you. I am reliving my roots through your vids. I imagine the people who lived in these homes that were once dearly loved. Cathy

I'm guessing the highway was not there when they built the house. If I was rich $13,000,000 is pretty steep, but if they did all needed repairs and redid the entire basement back the way it was. Yeah, I'd buy it and live there too, might redo the main kitchen and the master bathroom. Add so color to the walls and keep everything else as is. I don't care to much for the modern look taste of these days. Thanks for the awesome video. God bless you.

Yes, that would be an amazing house to recondition to its former glory. Ideally a year or two ago might have been better before it started getting vandalized and decaying. I'm sure a property like that has a negotiable price, as it's clearly not for everyone. The location in front of the busy highway is a bit of a bummer, but new triple pane windows would cut down on the noise. I also like older houses, anything from the 1950s and 1960s, and also the 1970s into the early 1980s like this amazing house, looks like it was built with no expense spared.

Thankyou Noah for revisiting this gem Donatellos Mansion. Gee wizz that road noise would annoy anybody even a mother in law, that place was too mazey perhaps as you say split up for different families to live. That outside front basement entrance is a eyesore theres just too many modifications and bathrooms in this one to even justify spending money. The sunrise side and the sunset side would be great during winters, enclosing the balconies created an outdoor / indoorsy feel and sort of reduced the road noise sad to see this one get demod..
@LeTrashPanda
@LeTrashPanda 2 года назад
The kitchen appliances are fairly new (especially the stove) I wonder what they were up to (?) perhaps 'eminent domain' with the roadway right next door played a part (?) but very sad with it's bigger than Brady Bunch era vibe. That fwy probably wasn't there when this was built (?)
@Kannerjb711
@Kannerjb711 2 года назад
I was thinking the same thing about the road. I have a feeling the family lived there in it’s hey day. Multiple kitchens, bathrooms, floors. Huge game room downstairs with a. Small kitchen for making snacks or making tea whatever. I can believe a single family lived here at one point. I have seen larger homes occupied by less people. I bet the state or whatever wanted to build the road and it went through their property and that was probably the decision factor to move for the family, that and perhaps the kids got older, didn’t need the space, the home was outdated for the time and they had enough money to move to a newer better fitting house for them. They then subdivided the home into three apartments in an attempt to lease them as apartments but it almost looks/feels like that plan was never completed. The division of the foyer is so weird. The odd panels and they newer sheet rock walls. So strange. I wonder!

Looks like the whole house was built at once then the owner divided it up into two sections which explains the two front doors and the wood panelling installed next to the railing. That weird area on the north side of the house which was accessed by a smaller staircase looks like spaces for offices to operate an at-home business.

I can just picture some large, wealthy (possibly Italian) family living there in the late 1970s or early 1980s when it was all new and sparkly clean. Built with no expense spared and all of the latest technology of the day. Imagine pulling up in a period-correct Mercedes, Lincoln or Cadillac, with a Ford Country Squire station wagon parked outside, and maybe a late 1970s Corolla and full size pickup for the kids and housekeeper or grandparents. Come in, turn on the TV and watch "Dallas" or kick back and listen to a record like "Funkytown " by Lipps, Inc. Cook up a feast in the kitchen with the harvest gold appliances. Ahhh... life was good! :)

This house is a fine example of someone probably in the construction business with a lot of experience building for others or developers with absolutely no sense of design. The layout makes no sense none of the rooms look directly outside as they are incapsulated by screened/windowed sun rooms running the length of the building. Who would want this horrendous mess. The porches were screened and glazed to reduce sound from the busy highway. The asking price I expect is for the land forget the house. At that price I expect developers are not fairly close to this property with developed land already. I expect thousands of people will be living in new homes on that property once it is sold. As access would not appear to be a setback with the current highway which I expect in time as developers continue building will be a 400 series roadway.

On American soil that mansion would have been stripped down from Millions to 50 cents in 24 hours of the owners walking away. Not to mention the amount of spray painted street names that would be all over the white walls and brick ( if it was still there ) ........ 😆. Canadians are respectful even to the banks owned properties.... 😂 U.S. - slash , trash , copper salvage , burn.

That line in the basement does not mean that it flooded 4 feet. it means the isolation and dry wall soaked the water until that line and it is probably the line where horizontal studs are. even a few inches of flood that stay long enough can soak long way up.

Great explore. Very weird house. Definitely not worth 13 mil. First, what’s with being so close to the highway? That upper porch is great but who wants to hear cars wizzing by. Some of the woodwork is beautiful but what’s with the weird interior windows and openings to interior spaces with the house? It gives a lot of light but comes off looking like office space. Plus the smelly basement. Yuck. Still, great fun.

Why are all these homes, left to decay, all these homes on your channel, if were done the right way, been resold before they got into disrepair. Canada, you need to look at your infrastructure, banking practices, and urban policies among others. This is also happening in the United States. These practices should be stopped and corrected. Stop the trashing of our countries !!! This unwanted trashing of countries did not happen in the 1900's through the early 1960's. Think people what is happening to where we all live. Kevin Phoenix
