This house built in the year 1900, sits in Pennsylvania. It has a lot of history from the Family that use to live in the house. The Family who lived in this house were very wealthy and also owned another house not far up the road that was recently demolished. The women who lived early use to be the illustrator of Ladies Home Journal Magazine sometime in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Her cousin was also the financier for the Civil War.This house use to have gardens and other buildings behind it but the construction of the bypass next to it caused them to no longer be there. Another family member was friends with President, Woodrow Wilson daughters. So your asking why does it look like this today, well issues with family caused them to move away and the owner of this property mpw later on moved to another state to be near his son. He put this place up as a rental property but thing went down hill from there. Tenants were stealing his goods from the attic. A lot of stuff in the gardens was auctioned off in 2007 for a lot of money and now the house sits here abandoned. It most likely went up for sale but with the highway right next to it, no one was interested. The current owner of the home still has the deed of the house on sheepskin paper. That how old it is.
