It's a shame that a once beautiful well maintained cemetery is now abandoned. Thank u for showing us the abandoned but yet beautiful cemetery. Have a great day Helen!
Yeah I’ve had a few people say that, I guess I was a bit inexperienced with making videos when I did this. I was testing the waters I guess you could say. But I’ll be doing a recap video here soon and I’ll be going in to depth with the headstones as I feel a lot more confident now with filming and giving the viewers a great experience 😊
Yes please! That seemed more like a video of you, whilst walking through a deserted graveyard. And at the start when you were showing the graves you didn't focus on anything .. more like waving your camera at them. I'm not being mean, just explaining what people want to see and why we watch vidz like this - we love old cemeteries too! Know your history before you go, and research as much about it as possible...you'll think of those facts and explain what you know as you are filming. Don't play with focus too much (people hate that!), but it's good to use it occasionally to show an unusual grave marker, especially when you're afraid of snakes - no one blames you! We particularly want to see headstones and unusual markers, names and dates .. All the same things that appeal to you. So yes please, do go back! You can't show us every head stone, but you could show us some. Please? Just move your camera slowly so we get the chance to see what you see, and it's okay to show yourself in front of an interesting grave every now and then. Better luck 2nd time!
First time watcher..I'm confused why didn't you show any headstones!? That's the point not just you walking thru the site..show the history thru the camera so the viewers get a idea of whom people were that lived there just alittle thought otherwise good..you seem fun
chris rice thanks for coming by and watching 🤘🏻 I wasn’t sure about how viewers would react to me showing people’s names on the graves to begin with. But after various feedback I’ve had a lot of people say they’d love to see the headstones and dates etc so I’ll be heading back to this graveyard soon and the other one I visited to film more of the headstones ☠️
chris rice I totally agree it’s amazing how many explorers do this it’s crazy as that’s what’s interesting the most and it would’ve been a good video if we saw at least a few unfortunately it was pointless
I wouldn’t say entirely pointless, I still was able to show the serenity of the cemetery, spoke about the history. This was only the second video I filmed and I was still finding myself and what I was comfortable with. It’s all a learning curve. But I’ll be going back there to film again soon but will be focusing more on the headstones and I’ll be doing the same for the other graveyard in the woods too 💀
I would love for you to go back to this graveyard and show the headstones, mausoleums, the writings history. Please do. Looks like an incredible and amazing place.
@@HelenHollywoodExplores ...based on this comment and being hopeful, I am subbing you! Could we not have any music in the next vid? Just you, the dead and their lonely group solitude? Seems more respectful somehow.
That cemetery must have been beautiful in its day! The headstones and monuments are so unique. I always find it a shame that they are left to abandonment. A great video!
J Vatell yeah I love these old graveyards, very beautiful but very sad that they get forgotten. There are hundreds and hundreds like this around the UK. I just enjoy looking at and reading the old headstones. There's something creepy but peaceful about graveyards 💀👽👻☠️
Helen Hollywood Explores I know of none near me only in our large inner city areas that usually are drug infested so I don't explore there. Sometimes driving in very remote country areas I find one and stop and visit. Little children or babies that have passed are found there frequently. Sad their life was cut so short 😢... again thank you for sharing!
J Vatell yeah I've seen slot of kids/babies graves, it's quite sad to lose such a young life. But medicine and disease were so different 100 years back. And you're welcome, I'm more than happy to share what I find 😊💀👻👽🎥
Helen Hollywood Explores Medicine has changed dramatically since I was a child a longggg time ago. Medical help was pretty much non-existent back then. The Black Death...☠ Pretty much a given!
I wish they managed to save it like how here in the city I live in the Philippines. They protected and literally expanded the cemetery through the years. Its been around for over 200 years and became an official city cemetery for 89 years now. This abandoned cemetery is really beautiful.
I mean this cemetery is actually really well maintained, walk my dog there all the time... In fact there are people employed to work on it full time as it's a nature reserve
02:50 What a nice grave. I saved the video offline on my RU-vid account because of the beautiful landscape. I would like to know more about that grave and its architect.
Actually I watched it again. And I'll say again what a fantastic place. Looks like you can picnic there in the tall grass. If you go next time could you read some of the stones and maybe show the pauper side.
Theresa Baines yeah I will be going back to this place at some point, so I'll show more of what's on the gravestones and go into more areas of the graveyard 💀 And yeah it's such a peaceful place, really pretty location, would be perfect for a sit in the grass with a picnic 😊
Instead of showing the graves generally, it would be more interesting if some writings on the head stones could be shown; especially those over 70 years ago.
I love graveyards to it's really peaceful and relaxing I go to the local cemetery that's not far from where I live.. it's an old cemetery but it's really well looked after
It's just sad to see cemeteries that have been left and forgotten by the people that once owned those cemetery. And all the bodies are just left with no family to visit them.... . I'm from New Zealand so our cemeteries are never abandoned of forgotten
Thank you 🙏 It’s nice to get a positive comment on this video for once haha!! It was my second ever video and it’s not the best at all but people always complain ‘you talk to much and don’t show the headstones’ Well I’m telling you the history haha and I was unsure about people’s feelings towards seeing headstones close up. Ahh well, going to do a recap here 🎥
What a beautiful looking old graveyard. Love the old look to it. Sure is sad, it is so neglected. Why to people not go in there and cut the grass? Can they not use volunteers to do so? It would have been nice to see a longer video. Will you go back again and make another video of this graveyard? How big is the cemetery ?
Hello I love grave yards. i would spend so much time just reading tombstones and just casually stroll around. so relaxing and peaceful. thank you awesome video. be careful out there .
Isn't it funny how being among the dead in a place of great sorrows is indeed "peaceful and relaxing". I love going thru old burial grounds and cemetaries, crypts, mosouleums and caverns. Someday I will take my place among them but today, today, I learn of them and a hint of their lives....
Great location...there are loads of haunted spots and hotels in the UK. I would love to see u explore some of them too. I think u can turn any camera into night vision with an infrared lamp pointed onto the scene. The "gopro 4 session" is a good tiny action cam that u might find useful. Excited to see where u take us next.
Daniel Nathanson I love GoPro cameras, they're the best. I've got the hero3 and will be doing more with it once I get the chance to go out to California in a couple weeks to go explore loads of ghost towns. Currently I'm just waiting for this endless rain to stop so I can go to another abandoned place that's local to me ( hopefully be doing that within the next week ) Really want to do some proper haunted/scary places around the UK, and there are lots to choose from and some of them look so epic I just have to go explore! Thanks for your feedback 😊👻💀👽
There was two cemeteries that were left alone and not being kept, me and my sister Amanda decided to complain about it cause in one cemetery had D-day soldiers buried in one. Now there both being kept and cleaned, I just hate when people forget cemeteries cause yeah the people in there are dead but they can show respect to them.
Is that a different part of the cemetery on the hillside you can see in the not to far distance? I can't tell if they're headstones or just light colored buildings.
What a lovely place ! Peacefull and a place to get away from it all and contemplate when you need to. Try Arnos Vale cemetery in Bristol, very similar and they do tours, my grandparents reside there...
Thank you ☺️ And yeah it’s so peaceful there, that’s why I love graveyards 💀 And wow thank you, I may be going to Bristol in a week so I’ll see if I can detour and go take a look at that cemetery, thanks 👌🏻☠️
Disgraceful how careless that place is with the final resting places of those whom have passed.. horrible and disgustingly disgraceful. Church should be ashamed.
I think after a certain amount of time, once families stop coming, the church ceases to take care and upkeep of the older graves. It’s a huge shame as they’re beautiful to see 😞
Haha definitely south, south west ( in the Cotswolds ) to be a bit more precise lol! And yes this is a very peaceful and beautiful place. Love graveyards 😮
Malcolm Cole yeah that's the next thing on my list to buy, a drone to attach my GoPro too. Drones make for some epic shots and it makes a video look so much more professional 👌🏻🎥👻
Amazing under UK weather how the gravestones stood the test of time. Please be careful in the middle of no were because it is the people who are dangerous not the animals.
It looked a lovely peaceful place as you say, but I’d be interested to know a bit more of the history...who first built it, what’s the oldest grave...what do some of the inscriptions say,.,anyone famous buried there, and villains. ? Things like that bulk your visit out more and are the meat on the bone so to speak for me please,
You’re definitely right, and I’ve actually been planning a revisit here to look at the gravestones and the history in much more depth as I’ve had a lot of people ask me about it 💀
Beautiful & Creepy all at once.. I would love to visit the area.. Thanks for sharing, finally watched one of your vids, we follow eachother on Insta.. 😊 ✌ Keep up the great work..
I bet this the overgrown graveyard that was 'choked with too much burying' that The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come' brought Scrooge to when he was shown his own decaying grave!
HI Helen! We don't quite sure understand everythings that tell us, so it would be good to read few Graves from the oldest one to new one, like that we would understand better your exploration. So you do a great job, I don't know also what Country that you're talking to ok. Be safe at your home.
Helen Hollywood Explores hi Helen!! I suppose you are right it looks peaceful but I'd prefer to go there with some people jeje but not alone I think you were brave.😊
Theresa Baines hiya, yeah I made a mistake and forgot to adjust the music volume after editing 😣 But luckily I've not done that since haha - learn from the mistakes - But thanks for watching 👻
wow the overgrown is of the cemetery I would love I would love to see if my John Deere tractor can actually mow the dawn thing and see how much it would take before refueling I know it sounds stupid but I'm still breaking in my fourth John Deere tractor
That place doesn't look completely abandoned.....your fun to look at and all...but seriously I thought we were going to a abandoned cemetery to check out the building and headstones...
The church is responsible for the church cemetery and it's up keep no matter how long ago it was full. Why aren't they keeping up with their job and their promise of perpetual care. Shameful.
The graveyard may be this old, but it hasn't been abandoned that long if you go by the fact that there are modern locks and electricity boxes on the entrance gate as seen here in your video. Plus, just watching you walk and talk may be thrilling to you, but you need to take some lessons from other graveyard explorers like Sidestep Adventures and 539 Productions who do an excellent job of both being informative and interesting.
No sadly no Asylums where I live anymore 😔 There used to be a mental hospital I explored as a kid that was crazy haunted but it got demolished. Another local hospital that was derelict and meant to be haunted but that got demolished too 😑 There’s another hospital in my area that I’ll be exploring with permission soon 🤫
Helen Hollywood Explores awww sooo unluckyy awww yea would have been great what kind of,? So sad u couldnt record when u were younger :p ^^ mm there is actually an very old mental hospital here in netherlands and im thinking to go there some day this summer. I think it is one of the first mental hospital with some special purpose.
I enjoy looking at graveyards bit next time, could you please slow it down, be less jerky with the camera, show less of yourself, talk clearer, and show some headstones. I'm sorry to have to say that, really. Good luck to you in future videos. ✳️🙏☯️☮️💜✌️❇️
Very weird video for a cemetery. Try softer music and actually walk slowly Thur the cemetery and show use the old headstones or anything different in the cemetery. All we see is you thru the whole video this could have been filmed in your backyard. You do have a lot of information on the graveyard. Put your information and the headstones together for a more cohesive video. This is a really a sad story. Peoples buy into a cemetery thinking their lots and remains will be taken care of for all eternity
