Abandoned Cold War Bunker - RAF Lindholme
When we visited this site we thought we had full permission form someone who looked after the site for the land owner... It turned out his data was about 6 years out of date so before publishing this footage I did contact the owner, explain I was a local historian but MOST importantly apologise for trespassing and not double checking my information.
I start with a history and photos from ROC Cold War Bunkers from all around the country before arriving back at RAF Lindholme and the place we know so well but had never been here to this part before. Our local history is mind blowing.

Hopefully you seen the link a very complex building indeed the roc post is still in fair fettle compared to most around the country it’s only been open to element in past 12years or so

I’m afraid its the first one ive ever been inside of so nothing it to, but I was disgusted by the mindless vandalism

@@willmxkid7033yeah its truly heartbreaking a man’s hard work and dream shattered he spent months and months making it all nice and it caught my eye a lot of people think the burnt bit is the bunker and I let them believe that to leave the actual one in such good condition when it was sealed it stopped me going down it in 07 2014 it was busted open a few years later hatch went down 😢 the bloke tryed to live in it but couldn’t get planning

@@callumthomas653that is so sad that they wont give planning! It means these places just get ruined while their owners lose heart and interest! I feel so strongly that if we don’t help to protect these places they will be lost forever 😢

I like to learn a little about everything thanks to you two, dear family, how are you? I'm in poor health, I heal from one thing and suffer from another, that's how I spend 2024 until now but that doesn't stop me from visiting them. I love you a lot. Hugs and blessings
