ABANDONED Dodge Challenger Rescued After 35 Years Part 26: FIRST DRIVE! 

Love that feeling when you take a project out for the first time and your listening and waiting and worrying and hoping nothing falls off or blows up and you get back home and you can stop holding your breath and relax because everything seems ok

Wish my build was as far along as yours. Can’t believe how much you’ve gotten done.

Lets see- its raining, no wipers, throttle cable, brakes, and clutch all need adjusting- but its loud. Perfect time for a road test! Enjoyed it!

I really like Dakota digital dashes. That really makes your dash look on point. They make a 64 Corvette. that would be perfect for my 46 drift truck make it feel like World War II fighter plane.

In a previous Challenger video I wondered if I would be alive to see it live under it's own power and I'm happy to say, I'm still alive!

Finally had enough time off to catch up on your Challenger - just got done binge watching about 15 some episodes - whew! Congrats on the driving it! Happy for you and all your hard work is paying off. And those Dakota Digital gauges are pretty awesome. Can't wait to see what more gets done to it next year - congrats again!

Just got my project Camaro back driving last week been parked since 97 . You can’t beat that feeling when you finally get to drive it . Nice car👍🏼

The gauge cluster is bad ass. The Challenger really shaped up pretty well. I like the way the car sits on the road and looks good with that tire and wheel combo. Have a merry Christmas

Nothing like the first time behind the wheel of a new build. I have an old folding chair that my Dad cut the legs off of 40 years ago for the first ride in the 40 Ford we built together. He sat in that chair, I sat on a case of oil, LOL. Those Dakota Digital gauges look awesome. I really like the retro look as opposed to the flashing numbers deal.

The wheel and tire package is just spot on. You've managed period correct but also modern they fill the Arch's without being too much. Nicely done!

Been following along from the beginning, major milestone, congratulations man! A crap ton of work, plenty of hurdles, skinned knuckles, and a few plan changes but it’s paying off. The original plan is coming together on a solid foundation and this is gonna be an awesome ride. 👍

You should put a dot light in your converted fan switch. I garrentee you forget its on. But I understand its a back up switch. You doing a great job. Good to see it out the shop.

It takes a certain commitment level to see a project through all the way from digging it from its grave to running and driving under its own power....but you've done it, mate. Well done! I've enjoyed following along on your journey with this beast and yeah, wiring is tedious, slow going and time consuming as heck, but you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that the wiring itself can be ruled out of any gremlins that may pop up. A few adjustments and she'll be jake - but that was a great run for the first outing! She didn't quit or stumble and the engine sounds strong.....but you might need to change that seat of yours for comfort's sake when you go out on the next one 😉😂
