I thought I seen Simba in that grass. So growed up and such a nice place. I to would hate to have to find a place big enough to store all of it. Looking forward to the next part 2. Thank You Dave for taking me along.🙃
I feel singled out. I'm definitely the type of person to throw my hand up when I thought stuff was going too cheap. It's only bit me in the butt twice in forty years, so not a bad track record.
Neat to see old equipment in the woods or tall grass. Who is responsible for moving the machinery out of the woods and to the auction location? Seller or auction company? Thanks for the video, Dave! Look forward to watching part two. 🚜 👍
We didn't have rich farmers where I lived when I lived in farm country, they were all dirt poor. Most were still using equipment donated under the Marshall plan all the way into the 1980s, they just couldn't afford anything newer. Most of them still have only the sagging wooden farm barns with oil tarps for roofs that they built in the 1960s today, can't afford to replace them so they keep patching them up.
Wonder how long some of that equipment had be setting there? By the look of the size of some of the trees by some of the pieces, I would guess years, if you said, I misses that.
If that Allis combine engine isn't locked up I might be having that one shipped to me! That diamond tool bar over next to the sickle mower is a rarity to find in decent condition as well. Too bad somebody is just going to buy it for scrap most likely. I can't wait to see the rest of what's hiding in there.
Man, that guy was competing with someone. He must have farmed a lot at one time. Milk a few cattle, some big equipment. He could cover some ground. bought all that stuff so the competition couldn't.
I wish someone would have cut the grass I felt sorry for you having to try to crawl through some of the mess. The only problem with trying to mow it you have no idea what is under the grass.
Unfortunately, some guys can't let go of good equipment or they keep telling themselves someday I'll get it running or repaired and use it myself. AL B.
