Something a little different and part of my Hiking with Florida Trailblazer series. On this hike I take out my friend and photographer Jae Patrick out to the woods where we explore an old homestead site in Withlacoochee State Forest. He also has a passion for hiking so wet met up to enjoy some nature and history we had a really great time. I hope you enjoyed this adventure and thank you for watching! There’s a mtb trail in palm beach called pinehurst with an old truck just like that in the middle of the Forrest surrounded by trees. Amazing how nature always takes over her domain in the end.

I would love to visit that homestead and see those cars in person, that's really cool. Where about on the trail were you filming ? Going to rainbow river tomorrow to kayak and looking forward to that. 🚣‍♀️

That concrete marker in front of the old road is 1 in a lot the state put up in the 1980s to keep you from driving on that road , they got them in Richloam I know for a fact cause years ago I got a ticket from fish & game officer for doing what most everybody does I drove around it, but let me explain , you've been going down roads you're whole life to a favorite fishing hole ....then the state put these things up with fines if they catch you

Hey bro I wanted to share some important info with you about insect repellent,Vicks vapor rub works better and is safer then deet an old timer told me years ago and that's all I use.The bugs don't want anything to do with it.

I only use DEET Free bug spray. DEET actually stripped the paint off he inside of my car and always burns my skin and leaves me with chemical burns.
